I have made two music videos and I am proud of them, cause I did them with very little resources even thouth the second one we were a 3 man team and I as a director was in front of the camera. Now I am working on the concept and screenplay for two other music videos. For me this seems to be the hardest part as I try to come up with specific things and yet it just doesn't clic. But I'll get there eventually.

I actually have very in depth thoughts anout this LOOL. Honestly I’d shoot most of it on a tripod and shoot st my highest possible resolution and do lots of post production movement. You can also set up some automated products like Edelkrone stuff or even gimbals with preset movements to add to it. On top of that just set up good scenes and lighting and you’re good to go!

I really enjoyed the video, helped me a lot. Im doing 3 ' free' music videos for 3 ' new ' rappers in my town, I told them I do it for free because Im kinda new to it but im so stressed out man, im too scared to not be on point. Even tho I know how I'll be filming and stuff, I don't have lights so i'll be shooting at day but there is one thing I don't really understand with my camera. I film in Cinelike D but when I ' color grade ' the footage doesn't look good at all, I don't know if it is because Im bad at color grading (Im really new to color grading) or maybe im not filming good? I normally film in 60 fps with 60 SS, and I don't really know about the aperture. Can you maybe help me? I would've love to go out one day on one of your filming sets and look at how you do and stuff, would help me a lot, unfortunately im from Europe :/
Thank you! Glad I could help ya put a bit, first I think you should learn exactly what you’re doing as far as ISO SS and Aperture. These are the core! Then after that you can get into coloring, when shooting in log you have to be familiar with color curves, otherwise you’re going to have a hard time. You should switch to a different color profile for the meantime until you can familiarize yourself! Practice makes perfect.

If you're frps is 60 then you're SS should b 120. If you're frps is 24 SS should b 48. Always multiply by 2 for SS or nearest number if you dont have 48 then 50 is fine. You should be filming in 24 frps and use 60 frps for slow motion...
@@CapitaineCallof Most camera companies provide basic log to Rec709 LUTs which can be added in the lumitri section of editing suits. This will provide a good start to then apply more of an artistic colour grade. And if you want specific colours to dominate the look its best to remove colours with saturation which distract from the colours you want to pop rather than boosting colour in the image (Especially if you have flat light). If you struggle with exposing your images in camera you could invest in a light meter which tells you the settings your camera needs to be in

Theres no one camera that does everything, each has their own purposes! Theres different features that specific cameras can push as far as the post process and on set needs go. Specifics ports for monitoring, specific color profiles specific codecs etc. framerates. As far as a beginner camera the Sony A73 or EOS R are nice options!

If youre editing on Mobile, Premiere Rush is nice! Usually color and working on clean cuts are super important

@@CapitaineCallof Most camera companies provide basic log to Rec709 LUTs which can be added in the lumitri section of editing suits. This will provide a good start to then apply more of an artistic colour grade. And if you want specific colours to dominate the look its best to remove colours with saturation which distract from the colours you want to pop rather than boosting colour in the image (Especially if you have flat light). If you struggle with exposing your images in camera you could invest in a light meter which tells you the settings your camera needs to be in

This is a very informative video. Definitely gained a sub.. I'm trying to get into videography. Music video making more specifically. Never used a high performance camera.. is there any specific Budget friendly cameras that shoot in 4k and capable of shooting professional looking videos that you recommend
Honestly it all comes down to the lens! The camera body just supplies resolution and performance. A good lens goes a long away on any camera body

Theres no one camera that does everything, each has their own purposes! Theres different features that specific cameras can push as far as the post process and on set needs go. Specifics ports for monitoring, specific color profiles specific codecs etc. framerates.
As far as a beginner camera the Sony A73 or EOS R are nice options!
