I am a mental health therapist at a nonprofit that works with clients struggling with trauma. This last year I saw three children under the age of 12 that had lost parents to suicide. These children demonstrated such bravery and resilience that I was humbled. However, their lives will forever be changed. Not only did they lose a parent in a manner they can barely comprehend, but the likelihood of them dying by suicide increases drastically. Please don’t assume that your loved ones are OK just because they can smile and laugh. We are all good at masking our emotions when we need to, but often individuals who are deeply depressed are the best maskers of all.
I have been living with depression for 45 years, with the past 30 years being the worst since being sexually assaulted, which resulted in my losing custody of my son. You're right about being the best maskers of all. Friends and family (mine anyway) didn't want to deal with me or they would insult or shame me. Consequently, I keep it to myself. Though recently, I let my so called best friend know I was having a rough time and was having suicidal ideation. She couldn't have cared less and she and her husband just threatened to kick me out in the street, calling the cops if necessary, if I don't cough up some rent money (I'm 3 months behind) in 30 days. I think there's still such a stigma around depression that I'm not surprised that those of us who have it keep it hidden.

Hi Dave, This is George Heuston, FBI (Ret), whom you met at the annual Ocean Shores Gathering. George, I would love to read your book, but I am in a nursing home and after my bill is paid, I have a whole $50 a month to spend, is there a sample that I can read on Kindle? That is what I usually do.
I caught my 84 year old mother crying a couple of days after my brother Jake's 25 year old son Brett took his life. I asked her if she was grieving for Brett. She said " No, I'm grieving for your brother. I will grieve for Brett later."

As a resident of Washington state and an adventurer all my life, I am a fan of the 411 series and encourage Mr. Paulides to continue his work in this challenging field of true mystery and danger. I am a world traveler, retired U.S. Army with a second retirement in aerospace. I have experienced unique scenarios and close brushes with life threatening dangers in my youth, careers and travels. People go missing all of the time, be it in the wild or in populated areas, an event as old as history itself. Yet, there are even more mind boggling extraordinary mysteries here in PNW and even more throughout Asia and the MiddleEast, past and present. More is to come. I highly recommend reading the Holy Bible.
Dave! Grateful for you, your compassion and dedication to bringing awareness to mental health and the missing. From start to finish, I'm there! Love hearing, "Paulides out!" Sending love. May peace be in your heart. 💚💙💜
Greetings from the Texas Hill Country. ❤ Interesting show as always. I have been on psych meds for years. I probably wouldn't have lasted this long without them and continuous counselling. Love and prayers to all.
I hiked Mt St Helens as the only woman in my group and it was tough because the men in front made steps up in the snow that were too tall for me. So I had to struggle up in theirs or make my own, which takes more energy. Maybe this could be why Iris had trouble keeping up. :) Later, sliding down in the fog I lost sight of my group. I almost slid off a ledge so I stopped and stood there to point the guys behind me to turn. It would be so easy to disappear under these conditions. (But there would be obvious evidence of what happened.)
I listen to your videos when I take a shower. I finish just about the same time the video ends. Life can be exceedingly difficult at times, but I promise you that God, your Father, loves you, and his Spirit will comfort you. He is always available, and He understands you because he made you. Have faith and call on him.
I always watch until the very end. I can't watch it without hearing "Paulides Out"! Dave, you don't know it, but you've been my Huck for going on 3 yrs now. My best friend introduced your podcast and movies to me. When I lost him, listening to you filled a void. and I've never stopped watching, listening, sharing, growing, learning and healing. You are an incredible human being, and I can't thank you enough for what you've done in my life. I 💚 you forever!
Dave thankyou for speaking about mental health and suicide; it's so underfunded here in Australia and I know also in USA everywhere. I have had depression and anxiety since I was 14 and I'm almost 39. There is no shame in asking for help and u aren't alone. It's scary how many amazing young people end their lives let alone older people too. Thankyou for caring so much for people and for those with missing loved ones. Your heart is made of pure gold. Keep it up! We love and support you and your incredible work. ❤ Kristen from Nowra Australia 🇦🇺
I found that taking magic mushroom gummies, adrenal support supplements, doing meditative exercises like yin yoga and deep breathing all helped relieve my depression and anxiety. Also make sure that your diet is high enough n nutrients and less dependent on processed foods. Be good to your body to calm down the overreactive nervous system, specifically the vagus nerve. And if you’ve got a dog, nice long walks in the country appreciating the beauty of nature are restorative. Anxiety is all about control and the lack thereof in our lives. But we can’t control everything - that’s impossible. We also can’t control the actions of others. It’s important to remember that and try to let go. Let go of those anxious thoughts. Sometimes when I feel those thoughts and feelings coming back, I force myself to slow down and say I can only do one thing at a time. Take those deep breaths, hold them for a few seconds and let it out slowly, sometimes with an ohm hum. Sending light, love and hugs from Canada!
Thank you Dave, for bringing the mental health crisis again to your platform. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy your Missing 411. Your compassion, and dedication is what makes your channel unique. I lost my grandfather to suicide. He had been battling health problems with his heart and circulation. It got worse and the doctors weren't helping much. Needless to say he became depressed and frustrated and did not want to burden my stepgrandmother. He ended his life with a firearm. Please pay close attention to elderly family and friends mental health. Suicide is frequent in this age group and its serious/usually successful. As a MH clinician for many years I worked with many, many elderly extemely depressed, hopeless, and suicidal clients over the years. Thanks for your attention to this issue Dave. Prayers to you and yours on the loss of your son.

I feel very fortunate. I climbed with my ex. He was the most careful climber I ever met and when it was off we didn’t do it. That made a glorious experience. He passed on an invitation to Nepal because he said it’s getting to the end of the safe season. Not a good idea. Two friends and friends of theirs’ died in an avalanche.
I 100% agree I’ve had some horrifying things happen and I know that whatever happens to you only happens at that moment and it does make you a stronger person. What happens to you or how much pain in you have to focus on day one it’s the worst. It’s gonna be the next day. It’ll be better and next day. I’ll be better in the next day. I’ll be better. And I think back of things have happened, but I think about how much my life has improved. I’m just glad I’ve never been in that position to feel there’s no way that anything‘s gonna be better. Want thank you for the bottom of my heart for bringing this up talking about it and showing your emotions You’re a special person thank you for all you talk about the way you talk about it and the way you present only the facts of what is your program but the feelings that you have for yourself and others

Thank you for all the work
We continue to receive your uploads from NC. ❤
Thank you, Dave Paulides, for your dedication to these folks who no longer have a voice.
Every time I watch your videos Dave I pray for your strength. You have a righteous kind heart.
Prayer changes the one praying as well as the one who is being prayed for! God bless
Dave I'm a long time listener/follower;Your content is amazing!!P.S. You're my favorite channel on TH-cam.
I hiked Mt St Helens as the only woman in my group and it was tough because the men in front made steps up in the snow that were too tall for me. So I had to struggle up in theirs or make my own, which takes more energy. Maybe this could be why Iris had trouble keeping up. :)
Later, sliding down in the fog I lost sight of my group. I almost slid off a ledge so I stopped and stood there to point the guys behind me to turn. It would be so easy to disappear under these conditions. (But there would be obvious evidence of what happened.)
Glad you made it.
This is the only channel worthy of a like on the videos before I even watch them.Keep up the great work David 😊.
I listen to your videos when I take a shower. I finish just about the same time the video ends. Life can be exceedingly difficult at times, but I promise you that God, your Father, loves you, and his Spirit will comfort you. He is always available, and He understands you because he made you. Have faith and call on him.
Thank you Steve, thank you Huck …
Fantastic thank you David I watch vid to the end always. Missing 411 the Ufo connection got it watched it Great film worth getting
Thank you Dave, for bringing the mental health crisis again to your platform. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy your Missing 411. Your compassion, and dedication is what makes your channel unique. I really enjoy your honesty and listening to how you have handled Ben’s passing 😢. You don’t know how much strength you give me. Always remembering Ben..
Yess !!! I, too, watch your videos to the end !!!
Dave your heart and compassion gets me crying most of the time. My lil brother died at 22 in 2003 from overdose wether on purpose or accident we will never know, my moms heart was forever broke and she took her life Mother’s Day weekend 2006. I’ll forever miss them both but mom just couldn’t deal with the pain Rob left behind she tried to call the three of us left but I was only one who answered her call I didn’t know she was saying goodbye. Just felt the need to comment keep up your great work!
That is so sad, I'm happy that you didn't miss the call x sorry for your losses xx❤
I understand your moms pain. What one suicide does to a family is horrendous. I am very, very sorry for your loss.
❤❤❤

@@canammissingproject thank you Dave I hope my comment wasn’t too long but I feel for your loss of Ben and you are awesome and love watching you and feel your pain when speaking of Ben. Much love!
Thank you Dave! You are appreciated. I am fascinated by the high strangeness of these happenings find it very interesting. Believe there is so much more to this life then meets the eye. I hope you, Angie & Huck have a wonderful day.
Keep up the good work
Thanks Dave 🙏

Sending prayers and blessings- keep up the good work and the kindness revolution ❤
Great work Dave ! I live next door in Thompson Falls . My son's & I are avid outdoors men. I've lived here all my life & have experienced up close & personal high strangeness. Both U.F.O. & Bigfoot . Love the fact someone else with like minded morals & beliefs...God ,Family,Country , lives so close to my neck of the woods. Its very comforting. God bless you Dave & family & of course Huck 🙏!!! Thank you
I always watch these until the end even if it's just on in the background while I'm working. Thanks for all your work Dave!
I always listen to the complete video! 🥰👍🥰👍🥰
Great show. Very enjoyable and interesting.
Michael Herrell
Thank you for doing what you do. Your stories are always intriguing. I appreciate your passion for your subjects. AND your sweet dog is beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I spent the 70's and 80's hiking up all over Mt. St. Helens and in all the caves! Never came across Big Foot! I was close by for a front row seat of the eruption and it's after effects!
I was halfway through watching today when my neighbor unexpectedly came over. After she left, I finished watching. Thank you for all you do, Dave! And Huck is a great executive director producer, as well as cute!
I always watch to the end!!! Always!!! ❤
Yes,I too get interrupted during a watch. Depending on location, content, and time drain for the day or week,I return and finish the report. Thank you Dave. Your work is appreciated. The Day sometimes drags us in multiple directions. 🙏🕊

Take good care of yourselves

@@Lupinotuum66 thank you for your kindness It’s a life long illness, but Ive learned the triggers, and when I start to get bad. I always have a plan.
Dave I always enjoy your videos to the very end. I'm captivated by true stories and mysteries about missing people. From your first interview on Coast-to-Coast AM, I've thought, wonder what's happening to these people, I hope we find out one day. I guess, the truth if it ever comes out may be a world changing shock. Thank you for the videos. 👍👍
Great book about how social media is affecting youth these days. Ever since COVID social isolation has taken it's toll. The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt.

Mr Paulides, thank you for your time and knowledge transfer. I watch your videos until the end. You and yours are in my prayers.
I just watched this movie on Tubi, thanks so much, I have a friend who lives near Watts Bar lLake in East Tennessee, one night he was alone on his back deck smoking, his sick Mother was visiting and he didn’t smoke inside, he said he looked up and he realized that he couldn’t see any stars, he looked around until he could make out the stars and realized that a gigantic triangle was blocking them out, he said it was moving very slowly across the sky and was totally silent, there is definitely something out/ up there.
Watched till the end! Give Huck a hug for me.
Always watch until the end. Great content. Thanks sir!
Hi Huck!! So beautiful 😍
I prey to the most high that that young man finds peace and joy through the pain. I cannot imagine, I would be there for him in a heartbeat if he needed
Thank you, Dave, for sharing the details of the tragic suicides and once again baring your soul to us. It is beyond heart breaking, there are no adequate words to convey..... The "nitty gritty" of this latest video/ case is utterly mind boggling in every way!! Just a fun fact: Kirk is Scottish for church and is a very common name to Cumbria as we once were part of Scotland. WE love to see Huck and greatly admire her beauty, especially when she has just had a bath. We appreciate you every bit as much as you do us.... and then some. God bless to you, Angie and team.
Watched video to the end. Thanks Dave!
Twice because the first time I fell asleep since it was a long day. Your voice is actually really soothing!
Yes I watched it all. Another good video. You have a good heart brother.
