Great looking bow and nice review Nate! You should have mentioned the bubble levels machined into the riser too! Awesome feature for the DIY guy who doesn’t own a high dollar bow vise
@@averagejackarchery ahh, I missed that. Dang, really wish the Elevate had that. Seems like a feature that’s more useful to hunting/3D than target archery to me..
Was hoping to see a closeup of the adjustable letoff cable stops, and hear about your experience using it to fine tune both DL and LO. How well does that new feature work, especially for DL?
Better imaging and broll of that in the future. I was massively crunched for time on filming. Letoff from 70-90% allows the user to really play with draw length. Almost infinitely. Run a long draw at 70% and you could achieve the same length as 90% on a shorter setting. Really impressive.
Me too. I think the 34” ATA / 7” brace is the absolute sweet spot in bow geometry. I’m really hoping that Prime releases exactly that. I’ve already got the Mach 34 on order. The Bowtech SS34 has definitely got my attention.
@@HuWhiteNat I got a Prime In-line 5 60lb this past spring. I don’t think they did themselves any favors going away from their old cam system. I’m sending it down the line. The Bowtech SS 34 and Athens Vista 35 are on my short list.
@@jeffcopenhaver2217 I had the Vista 35. It was okay. I think the Bowtech looks real good. I’m going to shoot one. Maybe tomorrow when I pick up my Mach 34. I shot the Inline 3. I thought it felt cool. The brace height on the 5 is way too short for me. They’re making a few changes this year from what I hear. What didn’t you like about your 5?
An excellent breakdown of Athens new flagship bow 🏹 I actually can appreciate quality products from lesser known brands like Athens, Elite, Obsession, Darton, and more. Hopefully no bad blood. Congratulations on your 6 point buck 🦌 I am struggling again this year. 🏹
Yes. The Elevate will come in RH and LH. Elite wasn't a brand we were looking at bringing into the store right off the bat. We're full housed already with the edition of Mathews now!
@@averagejackarchery thank you 🙏 Nate for the quick response. That makes sense. Every house 🏡 starts with the first brick 🧱 so to speak. The newer dealer/archery pro shop close to me started off as just a Hoyt and used bow shop. Now they have Mathew’s, PRIME and I believe PSE.
If u look at the Athens bows on the limb pocket they don’t keep the limbs in position properly, if u measure the gap between both limbs it varies massively and spread as you shoot. Don’t take my word for it , check it ! Also it’s more noticeable when you press them the limbs spread apart. It’s also worth mentioning that the shims on the cams prevent the bearing from working properly and almost act like a break shoe! I’m not hating on Athens , I won a county championship with one this year ! Just saying it’s something which needs sorting . Re the shims , on my vista 31 just by putting a shim on which did not rub on the side of the bearings it changed the impact point elevation wise at 90 meters so it clearly affects efficiency
Thanks for sharing this information. Definitely something that should have a response to it. Explanation for this??? Anyone?? I’m a Vista 33 owner and am very pleased but concerned when I hear this. Thx
Love jack im from pa (PHILLY) Yeah I think I’m gonna get last year’s model I’m touring jack you must help me should I get this year’s model or last year’s models the 31 or 32 inch
Draw cycle looks exactly the same as my reviews of the Vista 31 and 35 I did last year. Check them out. Exact same cam. As for noise, our range is an echoed mess. All audio especially bows sounds horrible.
Hi Nate, any word if this new mod will be available as an upgrade for older Vistas? Athens bows cost a small fortune here in Australia (bought a RX7 for on $100 more than a 2022 Vista) and like the idea of 70% for my 35.
Can I order one through you? Also how would feel about I come from Indiana and have you set it up with me. Of course I would pay for your time. If that’s something you do. Great video
The last Athens I owned was an accomplice 32. Sold it because the aluminum riser was just too cold to hold onto here in Wisconsin when it gets below 20°. I’m pleased to see they finally added a molded grip. There’s not much info on the website other than just that, what is it made of?
Love the stuff they have added and changed and what they left alone. As you get them in please post the color combos on the bows please. I like their swatch view but would love to see on bow too. Like the grip and could be potential for aftermarket customization. Congratulations again on the deer.
Basement range is horribly lit and echoey as the grand canyon. It looks like a bow when shooting. Spinny bits throw a string forward and the arrow goes into the target.

That will only be machined into the Peak 38 riser. The Elevate will not feature the bubble levels.

I really have to get up to your shop to test shoot one of these. About an hour drive for me to get there.
Would like to see a review on the Athens Peak! Love the channel!
I would like to see a review on the elevate where you shoot it and your thoughts.
Definitely planning on doing more with the Elevate!
I would love to try an Athens, I shoot I have my own little shop in Ky. And I have a lot of students. It really looks like a quality bow.
I have 2 I’m am kinda forced to sell after a broken arm and am also in ky
You should do a video on shooting bows with cold weather gear on
Congrats on the buck! Nice looking bow too.
Thanks 👍 I think it looks mighty fine too!

The Elevate is fantastic. I'm usually not a fan of integrated rests especially. But I ran the QAD R2 on this prototype and it was phenomenal.

Great review Nate, how do you think the speeds stack up vs the pse evolve system that I love?
Well I have the speeds there for the Elevate. Don't know what a comparable speeds are from the EC cams from PSE.
Does athens use shims for tuning?
Yes. Usually 4 or 5 of various thicknesses. No extra parts required. Just reshuffle their locations on the axles to fine tune your setup.
