Thank you mak na kaaa can’t wait for the next clip. May I ask you another question? Would you recommend me If I want to go there straight sway from Thailand in Oct ka? What skills should I take before going there? ( i have always heard that it’s super hard to get the job in Cairns but I want to try😂) a bit of my background is I have worked as a cabin crew in the middle east airlines for over 6 years and as a receptionist in a hostel for 6 months. Will it be helpful in finding the jobs there? Thank you so much🙏🙏🙏

Or if it’s not Cairns, which area do you recommend to go to collect 88 days ka? Preferably, I love to do hospitality jobs but I don’t have time to work and gain experiences in the big cities since I need to collect my 88 days by the time I turn 31 ( in April next year ka)
      Thank you so much ka!!!😍😊

Yay! I'm so glad my video was useful for you! 😊 Yes, you can definitely fly straight to Cairns in October and look for a hospitality job. Many of my friends came here directly from Thailand and found jobs eventually, usually within 2 weeks to 1 month. It might seem stressful from the outside, and I was anxious before coming too, but things get easier once you're here. You'll find lots of friends, and it gets easier when you know people or hand in your resume in person.
For skills, I recommend having some barista skills, especially for fast-paced environments and knowing the Aussie coffee menu. Given your strong customer service background, I think it won't be that hard for you to find a job here. You can also try for hotel receptionist positions, but in a big hotel chains can be quite competitive. It helps if you know someone working there.
For the location, If not Cairns, there are other towns nearby like Port Douglas or Townsville (QLD), or you can consider Darwin (NT) and some towns in WA for hospitality jobs. But honestly, I recommend trying Cairns first. 😂
If you fly here in October, you'll still have plenty of time to complete the 88 days before you turn 31 in April, so don't worry about that.
Feel free to ask me any more questions on my Instagram as well! Let's connect there - I saw you followed me today. 😊

Thanks for sharing. How much do you pay for rent a room per week? Because i find it difficult to get cheap accommodation in Cairns. Even flatmates can cost more than 250 per week, compare to sydney i can get 150 per week for shared room

Heyy! I pay $200/week for a single room. I’m in the suburbs, close to the city but not right in it. I found this on Flatmates, but honestly, I think I was lucky to get this price. I was paying less in Sydney too, so I feel you! If Flatmates doesn’t work, maybe try looking for a share house in some Facebook groups. Hope that helps!
