    Thanks so much for all your great and informative vibes!! Hopefully I’ll be able to go to Australia once they open up again…
    So you can only apply for such a visa once and then never again? Or did I just misunderstand that… and do you know if you could theoretically get a visa to move there for two years or so and work at one job, or isn’t that possible?

    • @Joelfriend
      @Joelfriend  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can move for 1 year but can only be in 1 job for 6 months then you have to switch jobs, but if you do 3 months farm work you can stay for another year! Australia is open now toon

    Hello. I have a dilemma that I would like your advice on.
    I have booked a holiday for 2 weeks at the end of this year, but I'm now considering applying for the 491 visa now (This April 2023). I'm a British citizen, and I am 34 years old.
    The immigration website states that the processing time for the 491 visa is 17 months to 36 months. However I'm considering applying for the visa now but hoping I can apply for the 417 subclass visa in Jan 2024 when i turn 35 as the processing time is a lot quicker and I'll be able to look for jobs in all states and territories.
    Do you think I can apply for both visas, or is it best to decide what visa option I should go for after my holiday visit ends in Jan? I look forward to your reply. Thanks

      Keep watching ABC news and keep an eye on when you can get vaccinated. As soon as you can, get that jab. Keep checking your State Government health website.
      Our borders will not open until we reach herd immunity ( minimum of 80% of us vaccinated) at the moment Hunt is saying we will not open up until AT LEAST March of 2022. .But it could be December 2023 if we keep being put off vaccinating.

    First back packer place that I went to in Sydney the room stunk of feet. Me and my ex turned around and walked out. We went to a nice hotel. Then the second backpacker place was in Gold Coast. That place had bed bugs. I walked down the shops. Went in and bought new shorts and tea shirt. walked down the beach and dropped them in the sand. Went straight in and took clothes off under water. Then walked back out and put on clean clothes. The only way to be sure the bed bugs were gone. Viva la AUSTRALIA. Oh and I nearly died in the Yard river in Melbourne, and was nearly dead by midgets little insects Gold Coast. Everyone wearing jackets an me just arrived fishing night. Did not want to wear a coat. Kept slapping my skin. Later had more than a hundred huge bombs over me. Ex's father a doctor took me down the pharmacy and prescribe me drugs. Horrendous night.
    Dont do things Australians dont.

      Restaurants, bars and cafes are the most common working holiday visa jobs. I strongly advise you to do a Barista course (particularly valuable in coffee obsessed Melbourne) and do a course in Responsible Service of Alcohol, and if you can, Safe Food Handling. If you have cafe, bar or waiting experience already, you will walk straight into a job and will get as many hours offered to you as you can handle.

    I'm applying for the visa and I hope they will grant it. Anyway, if I want to do the 2nd and 3rd, I heard that you can work for a job hospitality too. Is that right?

      I don’t worry, I’ve never been or worked there so wouldn’t know. Canada looks beautiful though!

    Hi thank you for the video!
    I’ll almost get my 88 days!
    In a short time I’m 31 years old (Belgium)
    Can i apply for a 2nd year working holiday visum? Maybe I’m to old?
    If they approve i will get 32 during my 2nd year Holiday.
    Hope someone can help me out of here :)
    Thanks a lot!

    6montha regional work during the second year? So year one and two combined means you’d have done 9months of farm work by the time you apply for your third year?

    • @Joelfriend
      @Joelfriend  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that’s right, the third year is new thing they have added recently it is a lot of farm work!

    From Indonesia, going to apply for Australia WHV, really thankful if u could answer some of my questions
    1. Do I need to provide bank transaction for 3months?
    2. Do I need to get return flight?
    3. I'm currently unemployed right now, is it could be reason for my visa application to get rejected?
    Thank you soo much for your time

      No on all 3 questions; but you must be aware of the conditions on the gov site about the visa that applies to your specific case

      I don’t actually know any jobs sites, the best way to find jobs is once you are in Australia’s that’s what I did!

    Is it flat out no criminal record, I broke the law at 15 and was giving a spent conviction that will not appear on Advanced DBS checks after I turnt 18 (I’m 20 now) and where I was reading I should be okay, I may just have to bite the bullet and apply
