This channel is a lifesaver - I had no idea what was wrong with my washer, turns out one of the suspensions rods came off of the ball brace. Saved me the time and money of calling a repair person for an apparently easy fix. Might buy a replacement kit just to be safe.

Thanks for the SHORT video that does the trick! You told me everything I needed to know in 6 minutes. I hate when people drag out a video on bs that doesn't help me a bit. I know the new washers are a pos but with simple videos like yours I'll keep it going until I can do better. Thanks again, good job!

Solid instructions. You're going to be better off with two people if you've never done this before. I did it by myself. Would have been a lot easier with an extra set of hands. Thanks!

This instructional is an awesome find. I was able to order the kit and fix my washing machine for the price of the kit and 1 hour of my time. Initially when I had call 2 local repair shops to look at the machine they wanted to charge me $200 for the diagnosis of the problem even when I had given them the code the machine was blinking. I thought to myself BALONEY!!!

One very important thing you left out was how to check the suspension rods by pushing down on the tub to see how many times it bounces back up.A nice Mexican man on another video showed that part

Thanks a million for posting this. Just gotta let people know that these instructions also apply to the slightly older model of the Whirlpool washer.

Great information shared. Detailed and sequential to allow for a successful replacement of the rods. One consideration for me, when I got to removing the front rods when the machine is placed on its back was to install the rods and secure them to an inner edge for easy access when the machine is placed in an upright position..again great video!

Video was helpful, although I need to add my observations on when I changed mine. Water came out immediately after I disconnected the water exiting hose at the base. Remember to put a towel there. Secondly, get a friend or a screwdriver nearby when you need to re-attach the new spring rods and you need to put the retaining balls that go around the rods. The washer tub will have excess water in it. It wasn’t a big deal taking off the old springs and retaining balls but it sure is when you need to feed the new ones in and have to hold the weight of the tub and push/hold the rod through the retaining cup.
