Actually, the first can be said for anything, anything is better with stars, The third is just a hybrid amp to make anything hit better, and the last is an arts buff. His main stay is probably just arts teams and quick teams.
@@yamidragon1537 Archoria/Archuria is just a combination of Artoria's name and the word Archer. It's not a typo. Basically it's how most players refer to Summer/Archer Artoria (or sometimes they call her Squirtoria).
He is great on arts teams almost perfect if it wasn’t for all his skills only lasting one turn plus having high cooldowns and having his evade tide to his offense skill
Problem with li is there is nothing interesting about him. He isn't good looking. Doesn't have boobs. Doesn't have an interesting ‘ugly' character design like say Spartacus or Herc. His personality is one note and boring. He has no cool character interactions... If he was deleted no one would care. The world wouldn't be effected in any way. And to top.it off his game play is average. He's good just not amazing in a way that knocks off other contenders for his spot. So why should anyone care about him?
As far as I can tell, Caster Gil works like his character in Babylonia behaves, which is actually a pretty cool way of integrating story and gameplay. Still, while a good character and a great video on your end, I won't be pulling for him. I used 210 Quartz trying to get Miss Q and SNEK Mama, and I still want Skull Knight, so....
@@FemkjeMW very good combo! both tamamo and casgil can support arts servants extremely well. get yourself an AoE and a ST arts dps and youre good for pretty much most of the game.
@@Phiro00 good to hear i'm in camelot now and trying to built up a better team tama and casgil are good but attacl wise they really aren't which is why i was really happy to get jalter.. she does most of the damage in my team and because i'm kinda worried after hearing everything about camelot i'mtaking it really slow maybe a bit too slow
@@FemkjeMW getting jalter alongside tamamo and casgil must seem like fate is playing a joke on you xD. well yes jalter is very good indeed but she is quite litterally the epitome of Buster dps so youll be hardpressed to fit her with tamamo and gil, not that you cant try of course, jalter does have two Arts cards in her deck after all. however i strongly advise you to level Hans, shakespear and Leonidas because they are very good low star supports for Buster teams.

Unfortunately, I have to skip rolling for Gil in the his intial banner cuz I am in a tight budget saving for Gramps now. On the plus side, I can still pick him up using the free SR ticket next year should he elude my call. But I have to say you've definitely got your words cut out with the influx of new servants this month, Oni. Also Gil is the second best bride next to Umu Bride and that summer outfit is so cool.

Why do they release so many servants when Merlin is right around the corner. I want Merlin but I also want Gil, Ekindu, and Gorgon. Good thing they are added to story summon after singularity 7... which I just finished. OH THE DEBUFFS. ALL THE DEBUFFS!!!
btw, excellent spotlight as always, and also, I found that Mash is also a terrific companion for him, since she can help bolster him defensively, as well as help him bolster his NP somewhat more consistently thx to her second skill which gives him an extra 20% battery. Add the Mage's association mystic code, that's 40% starting NP total. So with all of these buffs to his NP and defense I found that it makes it easier to choose a good star rate CE, for me it was kitchen patisserie and 2030.
Got him to NP5, my second servant to NP5 after Helena while on rolling for Enkidu. My support Arts casters are stacked with Helena, Waver, Tamamo but still I plan to max level him as I'm leveling up my newer servants, resumed farming to level Enkidu. I'm will put him with Tamamo and Jeanne for stalling. Thanks for the tip.
Gilgamesh was the reason I started Fate series and Fgo. When I downloaded Fgo to my luck there was Gil’s rate up and I got him in my first try. So you can say Gil was my first ever servant if we don’t count Mash

Just a little constructive criticism: You should also put in the card art of the Servant's Ascension Stages as you go through his or her Stats, Skills and Passives rather than just showing their 1st Ascension Art and FA Art, so you can also showcase their Ascension Stages For example, 1st Ascension Art in Stats 2nd Ascension Art in Skills 3rd Ascension Art in Passives Final Ascension Art in Deck & NP Just a little bit of improvement for them. Still a great vid! :)
Thank you for choosing to do Gil! Almost all of my 4*/5* servants are high damage and I had no real supports until rolling him. I appreciate how thorough you were on the three different types of arts teams that he'll fit best in, it helped me immensely. It's interesting that his play-style is basically the exact opposite of his Archer. Next I imagine it'll be Gorgon or Quetz, or (chokes) the wizard. Edit: also happy birthday/belated birthday!
made an alt account just because i really like FGO that much. finished Fuyuki and just got my 14 day log in rewards for newbies, just to wait if i got anything good before i start investing time in that account. got a bunch of good stuff, even on the tutorial roll i got Carmilla and Tamamo Cat with a couple 4* CE's. but then i got Artemis, she's okay thought about rerolling ngl. and got Ibaraki Douji somewhere along the way. but on the 14th day i got; ENKIDU!, Suzuka Gozen, Helena, Lancelot AND CasGil! really wanted to know how CasGil worked, and with everything else i got essentially for free. i think that account is ready to move forward. mainly because of CasGil and Helena. i have used a friends Enkidu before during Gilfest, and i loved the heck out of them. and knowing i have both Enkidu and CasGil after finishing Babylonia a few years ago, im more than excited!
I wasn’t planning to roll for Cas Gil but now that I have played through some of the story, I love his personality. On top of that, I want to reunite him with Enkidu who made it over to my Chaldea. 💚 I hope for a spook somewhere down the line.

A belated happy birthday, Sober Oni. Glad to see you mention Squirtle as teammate potential, as she's the reason I rolled for the overworked King of iPads. Now that he's also got a summer outfit, I'm shipping the two of them, haha. Sure, they might still be in disagreement over whether the King exists for the Country or the Country exists for the King, but neither of them would disagree that both wouldn't exist without humanity! :D
Finally another one of my earliest gold servant. At first I never know how to use him, until one of the final battle against Shinjuku Archer, oh boi he really impressed me . Then I used him, Hans and Mashu to stall the triple 6M ghosts for KnK rerun. Definitely worth an A for me.
Got him with the SR ticket. I’d been grinding in anticipation of getting him and got all his skills to 6/6/6 and run him with 2030 and let me tell you...he’s INSANE, I may not have the SSR version of him but I ended up preferring caster gil after finishing Babylon. I don’t regret getting him at all, and I’d even recommend him for teams that aren’t arts-based solely because of his first skill, which becomes even more insane with 2030 or the other CEs you mentioned. Amazing support
First of all, happy birthday SoberOni! I hope you really enjoyed it, all the best for the future! This review made me even happier I barely managed to get CasGil, he really does sound fantastic, even if his utility is more limited than the general support monster that is Waver or the pinnacle of Arts support that is Tamamo (and of course the oncoming Merlin is just not fair as we will soon see). He was also awesome as a character as the protagonist of Babylonia's story, which was a huge plus! I do wish he had a survival skill as you say, but I guess they didn't want to make him too broken so that people are incentivized to try and get the legitimately game-breaking SSR caster supports instead! XD Still, A or A- sounds about right, he does too much to not be considered a top tier SR, and perhaps the best SR Caster now. If I can just get Tamamo on the guaranteed Caster banner, I will pretty much be set for Arts teams forever, I feel, since I have Archuria at NP2, Saberlot at level 90 and NP4 (what a monster he is), and even Kerry and Rhyme at NP2, as well as Jeanne for stall. Oh well, time will tell. If I don't get Tamamo, do you think CasGil is worth grailing to 90 as a main Arts support, or is that a bad idea because of his class not making the stat increase useful coupled with his role just being a support, usually not associated with efficient grailing in gameplay? Grails are for love anyway of course, but I do wonder if his offensive orientation does mean it's worth a bit more on him at least? Great review as usual, have an awesome end of the year!
Thanks! Grail-wise unless you love him I wouldn't invest in him since you aren't going to get much because of his class. But if you do want to grail him then just get him to 90, that should give him a good bump in HP and atk and not cost too many grails

Well the Babylonia anime event is coming up so we get to automatically grab a copy of him. This is AFTER I burned a fuck ton of Quartz trying to get him. If I can’t win him I’ll grab him by the ear and drag him home.
Just took time to watch this video and I'm glad to see CasGil got a really high remark. He might have not much usefulness in farming, but really weighs a lot particularly in an "Arts crit team". I've seen streamers who started a team with Waver, Tamamo, CasGil and Holmes. Holmes became basically unlimited critical works, smoothly regenerating NP while spitting tremendous damage to enemies. It could also be placed with exceptionally powerful Arts servants like Munenori, Hokusai... OK all servants not yet released in NA. I only got a CasGil lately on JP (really, King of Heroes?) so I couldn't really tell how one could use him that properly, it all needs grinding for skill levels. But as of normal use, he really fits well with basically any Arts servants, especially after Paracelsus got buffed with NP gain rate effect.
Gonna be picking him up from free SR ticket once that becomes available. Already got my only other pick (Salter) from the Merlin gacha while rolling to NP2 the one I got a while back, and he seems really interesting now that I've gotten into trying out arts crit teams (specifically because Sherlock lol), so it seems like a good idea :)
I've got caster Gil at NP3 in JP and just rolled a copy of him on the first Babylonia banner in NA. From my experience with him in NA, I completely agree that he's a fantastic arts support unit. I find that because his cool downs are long and his defensive options are lacking that he's best used for setting up 3 turn clears while farming assassin nodes or daily quests. One of my favorite 3 turn setups with him are Casgil with Kaleidoscope, Nitocris with Golden Sumo, and Waver (waver's CE isn't that important). With proper skill levels you can get casgil to clear 1 wave while Nitocris uses her NP on 2 back to back turns. Thanks to all the offensive buffs between Waver and Casgil, both Casgil and Nitocris's NPs do respectable amounts of damage and has allowed me to 3 turn clear even current JP content. Looking ahead a bit in JP, Casgil also pairs very well with Anastasia. Between Anastasia's own 1 turn 50% arts buff and Casgil's 30% arts buff, it's very easy to get Anastasia a 100% refund on her NPAA chain.
I can't say I tried hard to get caster Gil since Gorgon is the 4* that interested me more (and I managed to get her fairly easily just using the free SQ they've given away the past week). It would be interesting to see how Gorgon stacks up in one of your reviews. Initial impression without having a chance to level her up is that she's intended more for attack than for support and has a couple skills that add survivability. Lacking class advantage against anyone but ruler may hurt her damage a bit, but her NP giving NP gain to the whole party sounds interesting. Not sure how much of a boost it is since I haven't leveled her up enough to try it out. With their free SQ for completing the singularity by 20 Dec, I've shifted my focus from leveling up my servants to trying to rush through the singularity first. Its nice that they're giving us so many free golden apples and 50% off the AP cost. Much easier to rush through now with the biggest obstacle just being having enough time to do it XD.
I rolled about 180 quartz and a few tickets and unfortunately didn’t get him. I got Medusa Lily and Sanzang instead. I am happy about both of them ( I warmed up to Medusa Lily) but I really wanted to get him. Gonna have to rely on him spooking me now. Also gotta love that Babylonia Map theme 2!
I love casGil, because he is the Gil i realy deserved - smart, handsome and strong. His weakness are minor, couse enemy cant kill you, then they already dead.
Aaaand he just spooked me on the Otakuhime banner. I just got a ticket and decided to throw it into the gacha, just in case I can get an event CE, and he just showed up on a silver card. Surprised the hell out of me, especially since I wasn't paying attention after I saw that it was silver, I looked away to get a drink, and when I turned back to the screen, I suddenly had his smug mug in front of me.

So glad I managed to get him to NP 2 and a Enkidu (NP 2 after a few singles) in one ten x roll, which is just enough for me since this dude is a monster support. Now, I’ll just wait patiently for his iPad summer skin.
I am planning on pairing caster gil with Hans. Hans will provide healing and defense up to keep gil alive, and his skills will help support whoever the crit art damage dealer is, either Lancelot or Li Shuwen i imagine. Maybe even Euryale if i need an archer.
I think one thing you forgot to mention is the fact his noble phantasm, is arts, hits 10 times AND is AoE, which, coupled with his skill 1, generates a massive amount of stars while refunding a large amount of np.
Got him from summer banner recently. I roll 270 sq for scanty clad summer servants girls. Got topless king of Uruk in hsrem psnts instead. Serm legit for me. It's really hot here so I gonna roll with this is swimsuit Gilgamesh despite he might AUO cast off when he swim.

I got him trying to go for Young Medusa. Then I got a 2nd CasGil crossover spook on Merlin's banner...(gold ring as well lol). Same thing happened on jp, he crossover spooked me when I tried to go for MHXX, while he was on rate up with Dantes smh. I do love his costume though, it's so suave. Great to know he goes well with Saber Lancelot, I hear they're a lethal combo. So I'll have to level them and try it out.
I can’t wait for the Gorgon spotlight. I know everyone’s excited for Quetzalcoatl, and I don’t blame them at all. I just want to see Gorgon mainly because I couldn’t get an Avenger for the life of me until now.
Lol I was using him for fun with Lancelot and Drake and they managed to generate 80 stars with just Noble Phantasm alone. If only he had some survivability, it would have been amazing. Great video! And happy late birthday! Keep up the amazing work!

Thank you for choosing to do Gil! Almost all of my 4*/5* servants are high damage and I had no real supports until rolling him. I appreciate how thorough you were on the three different types of arts teams that he'll fit best in, it helped me immensely. It's interesting that his play-style is basically the exact opposite of his Archer.
Next I imagine it'll be Gorgon or Quetz, or (chokes) the wizard.

made an alt account just because i really like FGO that much. finished Fuyuki and just got my 14 day log in rewards for newbies, just to wait if i got anything good before i start investing time in that account. got a bunch of good stuff, even on the tutorial roll i got Carmilla and Tamamo Cat with a couple 4* CE's. but then i got Artemis, she's okay thought about rerolling ngl. and got Ibaraki Douji somewhere along the way. but on the 14th day i got; ENKIDU!, Suzuka Gozen, Helena, Lancelot AND CasGil! really wanted to know how CasGil worked, and with everything else i got essentially for free. i think that account is ready to move forward. mainly because of CasGil and Helena. i have used a friends Enkidu before during Gilfest, and i loved the heck out of them. and knowing i have both Enkidu and CasGil after finishing Babylonia a few years ago, im more than excited!
I wasn’t planning to roll for Cas Gil but now that I have played through some of the story, I love his personality. On top of that, I want to reunite him with Enkidu who made it over to my Chaldea. 💚
I hope for a spook somewhere down the line.

Finally another one of my earliest gold servant. At first I never know how to use him, until one of the final battle against Shinjuku Archer, oh boi he really impressed me . Then I used him, Hans and Mashu to stall the triple 6M ghosts for KnK rerun.
Definitely worth an A for me.
Got him with the SR ticket. I’d been grinding in anticipation of getting him and got all his skills to 6/6/6 and run him with 2030 and let me tell you...he’s INSANE, I may not have the SSR version of him but I ended up preferring caster gil after finishing Babylon. I don’t regret getting him at all, and I’d even recommend him for teams that aren’t arts-based solely because of his first skill, which becomes even more insane with 2030 or the other CEs you mentioned. Amazing support

This review made me even happier I barely managed to get CasGil, he really does sound fantastic, even if his utility is more limited than the general support monster that is Waver or the pinnacle of Arts support that is Tamamo (and of course the oncoming Merlin is just not fair as we will soon see). He was also awesome as a character as the protagonist of Babylonia's story, which was a huge plus! I do wish he had a survival skill as you say, but I guess they didn't want to make him too broken so that people are incentivized to try and get the legitimately game-breaking SSR caster supports instead! XD Still, A or A- sounds about right, he does too much to not be considered a top tier SR, and perhaps the best SR Caster now.
If I can just get Tamamo on the guaranteed Caster banner, I will pretty much be set for Arts teams forever, I feel, since I have Archuria at NP2, Saberlot at level 90 and NP4 (what a monster he is), and even Kerry and Rhyme at NP2, as well as Jeanne for stall. Oh well, time will tell.
If I don't get Tamamo, do you think CasGil is worth grailing to 90 as a main Arts support, or is that a bad idea because of his class not making the stat increase useful coupled with his role just being a support, usually not associated with efficient grailing in gameplay? Grails are for love anyway of course, but I do wonder if his offensive orientation does mean it's worth a bit more on him at least?

Thanks! Grail-wise unless you love him I wouldn't invest in him since you aren't going to get much because of his class. But if you do want to grail him then just get him to 90, that should give him a good bump in HP and atk and not cost too many grails

Just took time to watch this video and I'm glad to see CasGil got a really high remark. He might have not much usefulness in farming, but really weighs a lot particularly in an "Arts crit team". I've seen streamers who started a team with Waver, Tamamo, CasGil and Holmes. Holmes became basically unlimited critical works, smoothly regenerating NP while spitting tremendous damage to enemies. It could also be placed with exceptionally powerful Arts servants like Munenori, Hokusai... OK all servants not yet released in NA. I only got a CasGil lately on JP (really, King of Heroes?) so I couldn't really tell how one could use him that properly, it all needs grinding for skill levels. But as of normal use, he really fits well with basically any Arts servants, especially after Paracelsus got buffed with NP gain rate effect.
I always pair him with Chloe mainly because they have synergy with the art performance and the crit drop rate

Gonna be picking him up from free SR ticket once that becomes available. Already got my only other pick (Salter) from the Merlin gacha while rolling to NP2 the one I got a while back, and he seems really interesting now that I've gotten into trying out arts crit teams (specifically because Sherlock lol), so it seems like a good idea :)
He's been really helpful with my Li assassin since I got him, considering he has 1/1/5 skill levels for now. Secret class gems are a paiiiin to farm

I've got caster Gil at NP3 in JP and just rolled a copy of him on the first Babylonia banner in NA. From my experience with him in NA, I completely agree that he's a fantastic arts support unit. I find that because his cool downs are long and his defensive options are lacking that he's best used for setting up 3 turn clears while farming assassin nodes or daily quests.
One of my favorite 3 turn setups with him are Casgil with Kaleidoscope, Nitocris with Golden Sumo, and Waver (waver's CE isn't that important). With proper skill levels you can get casgil to clear 1 wave while Nitocris uses her NP on 2 back to back turns. Thanks to all the offensive buffs between Waver and Casgil, both Casgil and Nitocris's NPs do respectable amounts of damage and has allowed me to 3 turn clear even current JP content.
Looking ahead a bit in JP, Casgil also pairs very well with Anastasia. Between Anastasia's own 1 turn 50% arts buff and Casgil's 30% arts buff, it's very easy to get Anastasia a 100% refund on her NPAA chain.

I can't say I tried hard to get caster Gil since Gorgon is the 4* that interested me more (and I managed to get her fairly easily just using the free SQ they've given away the past week). It would be interesting to see how Gorgon stacks up in one of your reviews. Initial impression without having a chance to level her up is that she's intended more for attack than for support and has a couple skills that add survivability. Lacking class advantage against anyone but ruler may hurt her damage a bit, but her NP giving NP gain to the whole party sounds interesting. Not sure how much of a boost it is since I haven't leveled her up enough to try it out.
With their free SQ for completing the singularity by 20 Dec, I've shifted my focus from leveling up my servants to trying to rush through the singularity first. Its nice that they're giving us so many free golden apples and 50% off the AP cost. Much easier to rush through now with the biggest obstacle just being having enough time to do it XD.

I rolled about 180 quartz and a few tickets and unfortunately didn’t get him. I got Medusa Lily and Sanzang instead. I am happy about both of them ( I warmed up to Medusa Lily) but I really wanted to get him. Gonna have to rely on him spooking me now.

Surprised the hell out of me, especially since I wasn't paying attention after I saw that it was silver, I looked away to get a drink, and when I turned back to the screen, I suddenly had his smug mug in front of me.
My idea for an NP interlude buff for caster Gil would be that he grants damage cut for the whole turn after he NPs

I am planning on pairing caster gil with Hans. Hans will provide healing and defense up to keep gil alive, and his skills will help support whoever the crit art damage dealer is, either Lancelot or Li Shuwen i imagine. Maybe even Euryale if i need an archer.

I think one thing you forgot to mention is the fact his noble phantasm, is arts, hits 10 times AND is AoE, which, coupled with his skill 1, generates a massive amount of stars while refunding a large amount of np.

I got him trying to go for Young Medusa. Then I got a 2nd CasGil crossover spook on Merlin's banner...(gold ring as well lol). Same thing happened on jp, he crossover spooked me when I tried to go for MHXX, while he was on rate up with Dantes smh. I do love his costume though, it's so suave. Great to know he goes well with Saber Lancelot, I hear they're a lethal combo. So I'll have to level them and try it out.

Lol I was using him for fun with Lancelot and Drake and they managed to generate 80 stars with just Noble Phantasm alone. If only he had some survivability, it would have been amazing.

Would love to roll for the jackass but I'm still dry after getting Ishtar and should probably at least make an attempt at getting Merlin. Oh well, he's going to be on next year's Christmas banner alongside Ana and Ereshkigal and I'm planning to go to town on that one, so I'll just have to wait a year I guess.
