So many people hating on this band, half of you probably don't even know how to march. They are in Middle School, and they did great, chill out and stop acting like you know everything about being in a Band/Marching Band smh
Damn...I remember going to that middle school back around 2001-2003 I think? I was in the marching band when we had the red sweaters. Such good memories.
***** ever slipped and fallen with a bass drum (or any other drumline piece) strapped to you? No, it's not fun at all. We are one of the few bands that still has a marching Glock. It's pointy at one end with metal bars all over it. Not fun in the rain. Never march on a muddy field. Unless it's Turf
For those of you who do not understand the colonial heights band system (from a marching highschooler): 1. We do not march go big blue, it is a stand tune. 2. These are middle schoolers and high schoolers mixed together. 3.that was our middle school band director. 4. High schoolers will march in rain, just without instruments. 5. I don’t know if this was changed or not, but 9-12 grade can join the marching colonials, I know only 2 7th graders & 1 8th to join us this season. However, these people are hard workers and prove to be talented. 6. Some brass are fine from rain, but seeing as there are pads in my flute, they will mold and it will not be fun. 7. There was one time at a competition we just sang and marched instead of playing because of rain.
Who's the genius that stopped then from playing in the game? THE MARCHING BAND MARCHES NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER. unless the contests are post-poned. And a whole week sure is a ton of time to put a show together (not really, that was irresponsible of you, good thing this wasn't prepared for any sort of tournament) I am impressed by one thing though. the sheer amount of students you somehow tricked into participating in this hell of an experience we call The Band. that must at least be a five-a band. if not bigger. posture is a problem here i'm seeing isn't it kind of hard to play when you are staring at the ceiling? some of then even look like they were finding it difficult to mark-time. were they even taught how for more than five minutes? were there any marching blocks, like without instruments? I know they are middle schoolers, but bad marching habits start young.
Can someone explain to me if there is a difference between go big blue and go big red? Is it just opposite teams? My school band is doing big red for the game next month and I only just now heard of blue…
Blue schools use go big blue, red schools use go big red. Go big red just better and last week we were going against another red school. I thought we were the only ones who used go big red and we heard them use it, I thought they were mocking us but no, alot of schools use it too
Rule #1 always march no matter the condition. Rule #2 don't steal songs without tagging the person and or contacting the person who owns the song. Ps. I have marched tenors in the flooding rain of Florida in a parade. Trust me I bet what you guys were in was nothing compared to that. And I had on field corps tenors soo. Even worse.
@@Dianalovesmagical209no, I go to this school, our band program has this thing called middle school band night, which this is, where the 7th and 8th graders play a few stand tunes and a few small easy songs with the high schoolers
In my opinion the percussionists are bad until high school band because at high school the percussionists stop thinking there cool and start actually trying and doing harder things
This a pep song for my school not a half time show lol
Trg2d ikr

Ever almost get impaled by a clarinet
If it’s muddy all you gotta do is flatfoot stompy March
Its not that hard to march in the rain ive done it and so has the rest of the band and no one has slipped the way we march keeps us from slipping.

Man the saxophone section was so good
I agree they sounded amazing but it could’ve been better if they had a bari sax (as I could not see one) to add to their sound quality
This is my dad phone but I have to march Sunday dang I wanted to go to the fair at that time
I feel bad ofr the tuba players not having sousaphones XDDD
Or contras
The Camera quality tho😂
i don't fell bad is that bad

@@user-kf4uh3xw2qthose are tubas, this is middle school
this vid is way to long
It’s not even 5 minutes
8th through 12th is marching band in my county and that is a easy song but always sounds good
I think we all play the fight song and go big blue 😂 cause my old school played this and now my new one does
I learned a cheer for this but instead of saying go big blue I say go big red
Me too
Ye same
this was on my birthday October 28!
Is that a teacher or student
At my school it's called go big red and I have played it so much the band teacher banned the song unless it's football or marching season

Tyler Garza I'm in band and we can't do it in the rain because the water will ruins the instrument pls don't hate
It doesn’t ruin any instrument I know of but it does screw up the music which I’m not a fan of but I have to anyway
@@poggersman3346 it ruins woodwind instruments

This is like middle school. They're not gonna march in the rain. They're gonna slip and fall and get fucking impaled.
We woodwinds, my guy. These are middle schoolers, it will get buck wild if we let them on the field in rain.
Yeah this this the the Michigan Wolverines fight song let’s go blue
Why is this on my fyp in 2024
The video starts at 2:30
"go big blue" I thought the origional song was called "GO big green"
Wait I thought it was go big red... that what we play at our school
Layne_ RB no I think it was go team go
Omg you guys are so awsome and you made my day because I played the kaydence and go big blue and I did thx so much
My school actually plays this the we are actually better than them
Joshua Day You sure about this? This video was made years ago idiot.
We play the song in band at my school but its called go big orange because those are our colors orange and black
Michael Yacobozzi Same.
We do go big blue or go team go
it is the same as go big red go union
I played that song like 6 games now
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH look at me play saxophone in sixth grade trying not to cry because of the stupid rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh no lol (im replying to a 6 six year old comment ik XD)
Oh no lol (I’m replying to a 6 month old comment and a 6 year old comment)
I'm learning that song now
The camera quality though 😂😂
My middle school band learned that and 20 other pep tunes in less then a month and i was part of the drumline.. This video was just sad
Total Rush Gaming percussion = EZPZ Tho
I would hate to march with a Bb tuba tf
Bruh we play this song in the stands
Wait so this is a middle school that has a marching band???
Yes!

I was thinking to big blue would be like big red backwards
I'm playing that song at 2 football games XD and the music starts at 3:40 btw
Yall did real good, it wasn't the best but ofc we aren't all perfect. Yall need to stop being mean to them.
What is the first song?
I would've been sad if that was me because they did not get to preform
They do it sloe
I would expect better for a band this big
pretty okay for a middle school band
shouldn't move after she calls horns up
Woah, I know that teacher
no offense, but your arrangement of the song is the "sissy " arrangement. My band does a jazz type of arrangement.
What Middle School uses gloves? We use the cloth WE WERE BORN WITH.
AERO CA they are just tryna be fancy because they aren’t an experienced band so use organization and looks to draw away from that
Some of them aren't playing in time with the rest of them. Either that or the drum line isn't playing at the right speed
stolen from lindale
juts kidding, but we play it too! yall did a great job.
Every school does
Red nigga fymmmm is on sight
We learned that in 6th grade
A girl in the tuba section? Never seen that
Man that song is easy I'm not even a middle schooler but its cool when at the end they yell to big blue
My band learned this song in 6th grade and could play it better then them 😂 the drum line was awful too
Lol
In my opinion the percussionists are bad until high school band because at high school the percussionists stop thinking there cool and start actually trying and doing harder things
Sameee
Red*
Oh my god it's mark time Mark time the reply is mark time mark four and
Too slow. That was like what 120 we play it at 150
Ikr
Probably cause this a middle school?
Gray Mandabach RIGHT!
My band can do better and we r only in 6th grade (now 7th grade)
For my school the director calls “Lo mark time” and we don’t reply we just wait for him to call “Forward march”
Can play this better on a recorder lol
pretty good for middle school but my middle school can play better
My elementary and middle school are way better
My honors band of north east Missouri are the best of the best playing Karl king songs at cut time😈
Everything about this video makes me cringe
Tbh the drum majors did bad job
I'm playing this song in oklawn band clarinet lol
Woah, I know that teacher
