    Fantastic detail with the micro cord. You can also use a heavy duty hand sewing needle. You wont have to fuse heavy cord to it and its thinner to to work through the cobra

    I drove nearly 200 miles to visit the Bored Paracord store in Lilburn, Ga. last Saturday. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!
    I saw the actual bracelet made in this video and with the knotting tool and cord I bought there, I made one for myself.
    I got plenty of supplies, I see colors I don't have every day, so I'll be hitting Amazon pretty soon to get more.

    I know I am really late to the show here...This was the first time I made a paracord bracelet and it came out really well so thank you for a most excellent tutorial! If I may make a suggestion? When you work in the embroidery stitch maybe try a plastic blunt nose needle (the kind used to work away ends in crochet and knitting) It goes through much smoother, is not as fiddly and does not catch any of the paracord threads. Just a thought :)

    Great tutorial. I suppose most tutorials are good but your really good at pointing out the small, yet important, stuff that can be used on every bracelet, not just this one. An example is folding it to get the hitch through. I could have possibly made 50 more bracelets before realizing that, lol. This is one is so simple yet so amazing looking!

    I've been doing those for a while. So if I may come with a little suggestion.
    If you don't cut and melt the ends of the paracord, until you've done the stitching with the microcord. when you can go through the last loops. 😊

    Having that smaller cord in the weave makes it really stand out. Well done as always.

    Hiya, thought i would share with you, I have had for sometime a woodburning/hobby kit. A little bit like a soldering iron, but with a whole range of different screw-fit tips. I have found that the heat is not so intense as the naked flame, and you can work more directly on the paracord end you want to tidy up without effecting any of the cord around it, with practically no shiny molten cord finish. Also there is a number of the ends that are patterned and can be used to push into the melted end, these can be used directly without first heating. Hope this is of some help.

    Tandy Leather: PermaLok lacing needle- 1193-01 can be used for microcord (and the Jumbo - 1193-02 can be used with #95 aka single strand)

  • @Kickstandsup83
    @Kickstandsup83 9 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    I think a cleaner way to finish this is to not cut off the 550 until the micro stitching is done. That way you can still go into the last loop and you can melt both the 550 and micro at the same time.

    use a large quilting needle, they're blunted so they don't stick through the paracord and the eye is big enough to accept the microcord without any muss or fuss.

  • @DleguaL
    @DleguaL 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    you dont need a fid you can use the ink from a ballpoint pen. put the micro cord though the small hole in the top, burn it then its ready. its better cos it dosent stretch the paracord too much when you use it

  • @crowner6108
    @crowner6108 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    to use the micro cord easily thread it into a needle used for needle point,it has a large enough eye and a rounded tip like the fids

    If I may: *use a much narrower flattening tool that has been heated up to melt the end of the cord,* that way the flame doesn't affect any of the surrounding cords.

      He's using a curved buckle in this tutorial. It'd just be a waste of micro cord to stitch both sides. There are straight buckles you can buy and make reversible bracelets with, but the pattern might not be the same if you tried it.

    I use different materials, like micro cord (I think its called its small for jewellry like waxed cord), and macrame cotton rope, however it still says to burn edges and it will stop fraying which is fine however I have found it still unravels and doesnt melt to stop it from unraveling. Any suggestions?

    Quick suggestion for Fusing ANY cords after the melt ( of the same size preferably but..)... Cut a piece of electrical Shrinking Tubes 3mm going Over both sides and shrink it. A pack of 10 will last you around 80 joints for 5$
    Edit: Get the shrink tubes in the size you need!

    In order to have a more professional finishing, burn the end only when you got both cords done, cut and then burn the ending. This way, you won't run into difficulty trying to getting the cord into a burn finish on the 1st cord.
