      How do you get proper diagnosis when most doctors are clueless? I live in Florida. Is there something I should be looking for? I’ve gone to many podiatrist and have had absolutely zero help with my hammer toes. I had bunion surgery years ago and was told mine were hereditary plus, I also have a flatfoot that pronates in.

    As a PT I love that you look at the whole body and extremities as part of your treatment. So many practitioners only focus on the area of pain or just give injections. Pain - whether it’s back pain ,shoulder pain etc is always a biomechanics problem with alignment. Align then strengthen to hold it there - that’s the process. And Yes people this stuff works. It takes time as you adjust. But listen to what he says and you’ll feel better.

    I have a hammer toe due to breaking it years ago. I have RA so that makes it worse. It now crosses onto the big toe. I love the Brooks that are similar to the Beast. Their mesh is white and covers the whole upper and tongue without a seam. Instant pain relief. I am a walker so being able to walk without pain is a dream after decades of pain.

    Thank you for the information. I can say that I have been working with my wife to correct her toe with stretching techniques and I can see improvement. Especially with the calf stretching.

    I hit my foot and since last year, metatarsal hurts a lot. I already had a sprain, 15 y ago, and this hit really made a couple of months hard on walking or running. I use some horse cream. It cools a little bit. And vanishes, but it keeps coming back. I am to blame. Because last year instead of resting I was engaged in some job related walks.. Lifting and such. Each time I hit asphalt, during the run,that front landing part roll hurts. Sometimes I pull the back of my heel. I am doing tib bar rises to give some strength and freedom. And high temperatures, sun help a lot. Chemtrails cools my body to the bone. And everything stiffens.

    I have a slight hammer toe on the middle toe but it does not cross over another. My FATHER HAD ONE TOO so he said he could be sure I was his daughter. During WW2, my dad enlisted at 17 and said they wanted to cut his toe off saying he could NOT march as well but he said “H€LL no, Ive been walking most of my 16 years”.

    thx for all the good info. My questions is can Morten's Neuroma led to subtalar joint pain, I've been living with MN for 4 years now and I walk on average about 20km per day and have been doing that for almost 2 years now even with the MN but the last few days I have a new pain and according to one of your videos its subtalar joint pain and I'm wondering if my MN could of led to it thx

    Wouldn't the right EXERCISES to STRENGTHEN the arch treat the ROOT of the overlapping big toe in your #1 secret fix, insoles? Seems like insoles only HOLD UP a WEAK arch but don't improve the arch permanently. I wore prescription insoles for 30 years, and my feet got weaker and weaker. More & more pain & the other issues you mentioned in the video. Bunions got bigger & bigger, and big toe finally became best friends with my second toe. HELP! I wear toe spacers & correct shoes, ... everything. It seems like going back to insole arches would be another Band-aid.

    • @DrTomBiernacki
      @DrTomBiernacki  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The idea is that the insole helps you walk daily in the straighter position, but you are 100% that many people also need to stretch and strengthen to take it to the next level if it is not working 😁

    Those toe spacers and splints do not work. Tried them all. Sir, I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of running shoes (unless I were to take up running, or playing tennis etc.) Work out daily, not overweight, retired and have now worn Birkenstocks (which I swore I'd never wear) for 4 years, still have an ugly hammer toe.
