I've watched this version over a thousand times and I've cried over a thousand times and I'll cry a thousand times more listening to this sends chills down my spine

I love when I hear people who I think won't like the genre are blown away by his (and the bands) expertise
1:06, there it is, the face virtually every reactor makes to this song as they drawn, sucked in to the tone of David's voice, at first stunned, then omg.....the subtle instrumentation allows David's voice to be felt, and his clear diction, allows one to be drawn into the story, message....Simon and Garfunkel wrote a powerful song in 1963, I believe it was. In 2015 Disturbed gave it a whole new energy and life.....One of the greatest songs ever written, performed to flawless greatness...

i loved disturbed version of this. loved too how some people that have the stereotype oh he's part of heavy metal band. those ppl dont actually sing. most of them do have beautiful voices like you hear their normal stuff then they tone it down and its like a double wow

David Draiman....about the BEST male vocalist out there. Can go from warm baritone to angelic tenor, from a pure voice as clear as crystal to distortion and rasp and back on a dime. A God given powerful, soulful voice with amazing control. Loved your reaction Island Girl....was mine too.....and without too many interruptions! Lol..... Try "The Light" and "The Night"....know you'll like them!

‘Down With The Sickness’ is my favorite song from Disturbed. It’s relatable because I had a bad childhood and can identify. It, like this song, was perfectly mastered to the last detail.

I’m a big disturbed fan. I have two tracks for you. When my Mom passed I was angry, and the track ‘Save Our Last Goodbye’ I hit it on vol 10 many times, but they released a new album and a track that calms you and really hits the spot when you lose a loved one is ‘Hold on to Memories’ both still make me fill up! Hope you enjoy 😉👍

Great reaction Disturbed been kicking around a good 20+ years they are in a sense the second coming of Faith No More they are much more then a heavy metal band (They can do all sorts of stuff musically) They out of nowhere released a cover of Stings if I ever Lose my faith in you” which is simply a beautiful cover..... you should check it out if you haven’t already

Are you sure it was auto-tune? I could hear some small echo added in, but that's not too uncommon.

This was written by Paul Simon in 1964 and recorded by Simon & Garfunkel, it had a very different sound as performed by them.
When Paul Simon heard this cover he shared it.

David and his brother were classically trained singers. He turned to metal and his brother is an opera singer.
Paul Simon said he wrote this after a dream and the meaning is still argued about.

Paul Simon saw THIS very performance on Conan and loved it.

You should also react to the original version, written and performed by Simon and Garfunkel way back in the 1960s. It is much different from this angry version. It is soft, melodic, a bit sad with great harmony between their two voices. It is said that their original was a warning of things to come, but this version expresses rage that the warning was not heeded.

Disturbgasim LOL....That asshole made me cry at work when i stumbled upon this live rendition. I know the original S&G version very well and the deep meaning of the lyrics but this....THIS rendition brings the lyrical significance and the emotional impact all together in a haunting, sad, angry but ohhhh so beautiful way. Onc of the best if not THEE best covers of any song EVER. Broken down to tears by a white, middle aged bald man....Check! lol
