I think Tyler Perry was inspired to write this movie about getting a divorce, due to seeing Meagan, Cory, and Richard Lawson's divorce from Beyoncé's mum, which were all played out in the press, and coincidentally all three actors have been cast in his movie. Cory said in a recent interview that Meagan Good recommended him to Tyler Perry for his role in the movie and that he was very grateful to her. Sometimes, we just need a helping hand in life and for someone to put in a good word, and it can change the whole trajectory of your life, which seems to have been the case here. Cory has maintained a dignified silence throughout his divorce but Tia has come across a very petty and spiteful, which is a real shame considering the fact that they have children together and their son is a pre-teen who can pick up on all the tension. I remember the Sunday she walked out and told me her girlfriends were throwing her a going away party. She smiled, and that was the last time I saw her. That same month, I was blessed with a 6-figure job,I was able to purchase a brand new home, and I met an awesome young lady about a year after. Meeting this young lady and getting married is one of the best decisions I ever made. We have an awesome marriage, and I wouldn't change a thing. Also, I heard my ex wasn't doing that great. I don't know how true it is because I've cut off ALL communication.

This reminds me of my parent's situation because my mom divorced my dad and thought her life would be better. My father remarried and his new wife was great to him until his death but my mom never remarried. I think it's interesting how life goes sometimes. It has been reported that Tia was the main breadwinner for the past 20 years of their union/marriage.
It was clear that she did get a lot of work opportunities during their marriage. She even worked during her pregnancies on TV shows like The Real, and she was in some TV series and in a few Hallmark movies.
Unfortunately, despite Cory clearly being a very talented actor, he did not get many work opportunities, and this, amongst other things, may have been a contributing factor as to why she wanted a divorce.
There was a story in the UK about a woman being dumped by her boyfriend and she was heart broken, and ironically two weeks later she won the lottery jackpot and the papers approached the boyfriend afterwards to find out how he felt about her win, not long after him dumping her.
Cory's new movie, Divorce In the Black, is a sort of lottery jackpot win for him, which has come not too long after his and Tia's divorce.
I think Tyler Perry was inspired to write this movie about getting a divorce, due to seeing Meagan, Cory, and Richard Lawson's divorce from Beyoncé's mum, which were all played out in the press, and coincidentally all three actors have been cast in his movie.
Cory said in a recent interview that Meagan Good recommended him to Tyler Perry for his role in the movie and that he was very grateful to her.
Sometimes, we just need a helping hand in life and for someone to put in a good word, and it can change the whole trajectory of your life, which seems to have been the case here.
Cory has maintained a dignified silence throughout his divorce but Tia has come across a very petty and spiteful, which is a real shame considering the fact that they have children together and their son is a pre-teen who can pick up on all the tension.
I think she wanted to let everyone know that, supposedly, it was Cory's fault that the marriage did not work out and not hers, but at the end of the day it is nobody's business.
She has always been very bitchy to her twin sister, which was bad enough but to see her behave this way towards her husband and the father of her children was pathetic and disappointing. She is now experiencing the very backlash I think she was trying to avoid.
She used their divorce to go on some type of divorce exhibition and was being interviewed on many different shows 'happily' talking about her "graduation" from the marriage.
Sometimes it's best to keep a dignified silence and let people think what they want and it if they want to blame you for a situation, let them. Tia was too concerned with what others may have thought or said about her divorcing her husband, so she thought she would somehow set the record straight herself, instead of keeping shtoom. She wanted to look like the heroine, but now she has made herself look like the villain.
What made a lot of people lose respect for Tia was when she announced her divorce on the same day her twin sister was promoting her new book, and Tia's news totally overshadowed Tamara's book promotion because interviewers were asking her about her sister's divorce announcement and not the book that she was there to promote.
I hope that Cory continues to gain success but not as some kind of payback towards his ex-wife but because we all can do with a stroke of good fortune in life, and I think he deserves it.
