They met at a book club. They built a friendship and went on to form a relationship lead by companionship. They go away with their dog in the camper van (not sure what you call it in America) most weekends and tour the country. They still go to book club together. They love gardening together. I meet 65 year olds that are screwed up and still making demands. I can (and do) laugh and walk away. I don't have any advice to give because everyone is different and my advice my not work for you. Suffice to say, use common sense and watch your money.
I kind of get what you mean but I don't wish that. Many good people are born out of these situations and many bad as well. You do not know who will be born and for what purpose. The ideal is to be with better men as a woman that will stay, but you can't change what was done. You are essentially saying you wish the kids were not born because the scenario is not ideal. And the standards she has is unrealistic and foolish. Nobody should be chasing this standard. If you are like this pushing sixty, you have failed in life. I don't think there should be anything wrong with the kids, what I worry about is the parent to those kids. The kids, if not brought up well( which is usually 60% possible outcome with single mothers) will end up with trauma wounds and unmanageable behaviours that they will project onto society.

Yea a woman being a homemaker is good but if they don't have children yet then here in the United States and other western countries it's best for both mates to work and pay bills together and take care of the home together as well as build up wealth as their security. It can definitely work if you realize they may be doing that to make up for maybe not making enough money but still be a good partner or if you realize the man is still providing just outside the home and inside the home and the woman is supporting inside the home and outside them home. At the end of the day they both need to pull their own weight and care for each other. Watching channels like this had made me realize things about myself as a woman and how other women behave, There’s this interesting episode on Millionare Match maker on Hulu where they had two bachelors. One was “the nice family guy” the other was labeled “narcissistic playboy” they were both handsome, fit, rich but even so the woman who was paired with the “nice guy” stated that she thought “he might be too nice” and she worried about getting bored later in their life. The “narcissistic playboy” guy had high standards and was very blunt about it. the girl he was paired with commented on his behavior but accepted him anyways.

As a woman, I wish these women would have these extreme standards the whole damn time… not after 3 kids and 3 baby daddies.
I kind of get what you mean but I don't wish that. Many good people are born out of these situations and many bad as well. You do not know who will be born and for what purpose. The ideal is to be with better men as a woman that will stay, but you can't change what was done.
You are essentially saying you wish the kids were not born because the scenario is not ideal. And the standards she has is unrealistic and foolish. Nobody should be chasing this standard. If you are like this pushing sixty, you have failed in life. It doesn't matter what's in your bank account.
Can you still get some joy if you turn it around and be better? Sure but you have failed up to this point.
I don't think there should be anything wrong with the kids, what I worry about is the parent to those kids. The kids, if not brought up well( which is usually 60% possible outcome with single mothers) will end up with trauma wounds and unmanageable behaviours that they will project onto society.

Yea a woman being a homemaker is good but if they don't have children yet then here in the United States and other western countries it's best for both mates to work and pay bills together and take care of the home together as well as build up wealth as their security. It can definitely work if you realize they may be doing that to make up for maybe not making enough money but still be a good partner or if you realize the man is still providing just outside the home and inside the home and the woman is supporting inside the home and outside them home. At the end of the day they both need to pull their own weight and care for each other. Watching channels like this had made me realize things about myself as a woman and how other women behave, There’s this interesting episode on Millionare Match maker on Hulu where they had two bachelors. One was “the nice family guy” the other was labeled “narcissistic playboy” they were both handsome, fit, rich but even so the woman who was paired with the “nice guy” stated that she thought “he might be too nice” and she worried about getting bored later in their life. The “narcissistic playboy” guy had high standards and was very blunt about it. the girl he was paired with commented on his behavior but accepted him anyways.
