I've seen a bunch of your FL studio videos and I personally love it! The greyish color looks cool and although there's a bunch of tabs, once you get it down it becomes pretty easy!
@@ServidaMusic you already know this before you even started the video at all you already know fl is that fastest except you are new to it since 3 of dem are pros i have no doubt fl will surely b the fastest
Bros! There IS actual pattern sequencer function in logic since version 10.5! @ 0:47 in the dropdown menu it’s called ‘create pattern region’. Ngl it’s pretty neat! Has some fun tweaking functions as well, I recommend experimenting with it. :)
started using FL Studio about a week ago; thought I'd get into music creation/production for the summer, and it not only looks nice but is very intuitive too
Good luck with your fl journey bro! Been using it for about a year now and some of the shortcuts and little things you can do are amazing. I’m sure you’ll love it once you get comfortable
Ive always loved FL. Its just the easiest to pick up and catch on for any beginner and I think its because of that a lot of ppl make it seem like an inferior DAW...But its so great for both beginner and advanced producers
Logic does have a drum sequencer 😭, it was kind of a recent update but I’ve never seen ocean use it. It’s pretty similar to FLs and u can have all sounds in one window
Simon dude I totally understand brother I figured that you was dealing with some personal stuff and I am just glad to see you alive and kicking we are all here to support you through it no matter what. Hope things work themselves out for you much love ✌🏾!
Simon you made me interested in making beats 2 years ago and now I'm so fucking good at it and I'm addicted to it now. Love you sooo much.❤ I even make a little money with it now.
This vid was a big W. You should get another 3 to do the same challenge, daws update so This could actually be a show every month. You could even switch up the challenges. i enjoyed this shh
Fl is definitely the one I’m sticking with. I’ve nearly spent two years with it and I’ve become really fast at making things. Fl really isn’t the greatest for beginners, but I highly recommend it to anyone who has been doing music for a while and doesn’t want to search their whole song for that one pattern that they want to use again.
I'm considering it because of the free updates. Upgrades are expensive. I have Cubase and Studio One. $150 Studio One upgrade, and $200 to go from Cubase 12 Pro to 14 Pro.
I saw this video in my sub feed and was like "aww this is only 4:26 long? damn..." but it was luckily jam-packed with content! I loved this so much, it was fun to watch how the DAWs and _the lads_ fared. Everything was so in-character for everyone, scripts couldn't have been written more clearly than this. Y'all are the best! Also lmaooo stopp those official subs at 4:03 are mighty illegal 😂
all daws have the ability to be great. I personally love Ableton Live because of the workflowS. I have not seen a single producer lay down a beat the same way I do, the clip/session view just makes it so much easier for me to create a section of a song and after i have there are so many ways I can use that scene to expand upon it. I actually find it really weird that so many people use Live in arrangement view for their entire production workflow.
honestly having used all 3 daws for an extended period of time, I feel like these results can largely vary based on the persons workflow, for instance i would have never done the drums like ocean did with logic, my process would have been more similar to something in FL studio with an actual step sequencer, as well as recording each thing by playing it out like ed did, rather than the blocky approach he took. That's not to say anything bad against ocean, or logic, however a producer proficient in all of a daws key commands could probably out speed all 3 of these people with their own workflow.
i saw the people who was faster, with making everything, but this is individual, some people use the brain like you Servida! you give a lot of important information for that big thanks!
Ocean used to use ultra beat a lot but stopped. I can see why, it wasn’t the best when using non stock sounds. I’ve heard about the new actual step sequencer tho but rarely see anyone use it
I’m here with studio one like bruh But honestly would like more coverage for this amazing daw I think it could definitely compete in this challenge and in many many other aspects
Sorry for the long wait guys, I went through some bad personal stuff! Getting back into now though, see you guys soon!
:D
Love ur vids
hope you’re doing better simon 🙏
No worries man. Hope you’re okay. Good to see you back!
Sorry to hear that Simon. Take as much time as you need. We will all be here to support you when you come back
new question to ask myself as a producer:
am i a pro tool ? 🤔
I'm not 😂😂

So we went from speedrunning beats to speedrunning DAWs. Love it. Maybe we will speedrun EPs next.

I find that greyish look horrible.

Why you do us like that, Ocean? Logic's step sequencer is fire and you definitely could've won with it lol
Yeah isn’t the sequencer called “ultrabeat” or something like that?

Wow I just got the logic trial! Perfect timing. Also I’m pretty sure logic has a step sequencer in the scissor menu?

Loving this style of experimental videos about producers. Simon the goat for doing such interesting video ideas!! 🔥🔥🔥
definitely would like a sequel with other challenges!!!
Ed Talenti's Energy while making beats is contagious 😅🔥🔥
It's not true what you said about the step sequencer, logic has one of the best step sequencer, but OCEAN just like to use the old ways

Yeah he might've not had the update at the time Im guessing? Also, I've noticed some instruments don't offer the sequencer.
@@nadieali This isn’t true, any software instrument, stock or third party can utilize the Step Sequencer in Logic

SIMON WITH THE CREATIVITY AS ALWAYS
This is less about the title and more about the producers, but still a fun challenge to mark.
LPX has multiple sequencers. A new one in pattern mode and the old one in Ultra Beat
Ocean used to use ultra beat a lot but stopped. I can see why, it wasn’t the best when using non stock sounds. I’ve heard about the new actual step sequencer tho but rarely see anyone use it
To be far both Sikky and Ed were using a mouse while ocean was on a trackpad which is arguably slower. Seems like a very fun challenge
We respect your time Simon.we are always here for u waiting.we aint goin anywhere my bro!!!😎

I like this idea! But next time not for producing a beat more like mixxing with vocals, that would be interesting for logic.
Doesn't matter what tools you use. What you create is all that matters. Use the DAW you have available

Nice job to Ed for improvising like that on the drum challenge!
