As a native of Ada, I feel sad for my people. The issues surrounding the Songor salt are quite complex and go deeper than what is portrayed in this wonderful documentary. The primary issue is the ongoing ownership dispute between some of the divisional clans. Unfortunately, Ada lacks a united front, which allowed McDan, with his wealth and influence, to exploit this longstanding conflict.
Has Electrochem changed how the salt is mined? No Electrochem's only transformation is processing the salt. So why not leave the mining to the people and then buy the salt from them? Politicians are just wicked and self serving

I never knew natural salt was expensive till I traveled out of Ghana. Natural rock salt is very expensive in Europe and it takes a good pay of course not for the poor to afford it else you stick with the good old powdered salt which I’m sure the locals have been brainwashed as been more clean and better.
