@@TheIrenestandard my dear I absolutely agree with you. Indeed, it’s mind blowing. You know darling sometimes we who had the opportunity to attend highly respected western universities think we know much but we absolutely know nothing. And I wonder if they would like to expose their secrets by teaching this in American universities. Absolutely not. As a design and project execution civil engineer working on a $500 million project, I’ve met and exchanged experiences with people from different backgrounds, I’ve never been exposed to this information. I'm impressed by your constant & consistent emphasis on Africa requiring a group of naions to commit to working together to build themselves up as a new economic bloc. The implication you gave but didn't say outright was that one country no matter how ambitious has no bargaining power. Even if China was saintly and desperate to develop Africa as fast as possible, just one country would have little to bargain with or offer in return! Cooperation has always been more powerful than competition among humankind, and it seems the nations of Africa have the most to gain & the least to lose. But nations are lead by leaders so only time will tell, and I can't say I'm as optimistic as you are but fully support your plan & hope it comes to fruition!

It's amazing Lynn to host this eloquent man from Tunisia, yet people in government have no idea what is going on from different interested groups within the country.
He is eloquent, smart, and confident. Who is our match in the political arena?
I sometimes think Kenyans my age were tuned to education to be directed what to do. The majority don't analyze or critique anything. They are still following ' wamesema.'
Food security can be handled if Kenya leaders are willing to help farmers. Revive Agricultural Finance Corporation, KFA ,build more seed or grain dryers and storage facilities or silos.
We don't need lectures. We have good climatic conditions, great soils, the population to supply labor, and demand for produce.
I am perturbed at the level of ignorance.
Can Spice M host this guy? Only Latiff is smart as host.
Do we really care to improve self?
Government officials who appear on Spice M morning show, they appear to be at beauty contest.
In US recent elections, the democrats invited celebrity class, and the candidate was part of celebrity culture. Voters were turned off.
Lynn, you are great. Kenyan leaders leave a lot desired. PLO is no match to this guy.

Thank you so much Lynn, for another great, great conversation. Prof. Fadhel has broken down the African problem so well. I hope most of our people now understand that working in diaspora is not a privilege, but a plan to keep Africans down economically! That the troubles of Africa are intentional. I believe that Africa will rise and her people will be finally free, just as our ancestors wished and prayed. I am just keeping my hugs for when nikirudi nyumbani. This man has history, economics and politics all in him. I feel bad that our leaders after listening to this kind of this exposition wouldn't want to listen and learn. This man is worth becoming a president without vote. He worth it, this is what is call wisdom. Because he did not just explain our problem but he as well explained how the problem can be fixed. Thank you professor, you are such an epitome of wisdom.
