You can empower your confidence and your position by empowering your body language and poses. Many of you have enjoyed this video to gain confidence 👉th-cam.com/video/U-3vfPO6Nu4/w-d-xo.html . Keep your video suggessions and comments coming 💋
I have tried all these poses at work, it really is a must especially if you wear heels and are tall. It makes you stand out more, so to avoid looking awkward I do these stances, keep my shoulders back, chin up...people will treat you much differently because you're body language commands respect and shows that you care about yourself and want to be taken serious. Great advice.
I used these poses when dealing with a new client and found myself feeling not only powerful but beautiful. He reacted perfectly and didn't put up nearly the resistance I had imagined.
I watched this video 2years ago when I was preparing for my photoshoot and ever since then I do all these poses in almost all my pics. I do get alot of compliments about my picture poses. It's now a part of me. Thank you much!
Great tips and poses to take and use going forward. Another pose I heard about which actually works. When you enter a room, stop in the doorway. The frame of the door frames you and those in the room will stop what they are doing to look at you. This pose gives you an image of confidence!
I am an awkward girl when it comes to posing and giving the right body language. Thank you for creating this kind of videos. I learn a lot. Love from Jakarta, Indonesia 😍
Parmita u r a life saver. Being a big gal all my life, I always felt like an oldie in pictures even when I was teenager. Finding u has transformed me, made me more confident. Guess u have been one of the best things that happened to me.
Wow! I was scouting TH-cam looking for ways to pose when standing in front of peers looking graceful and confident (I’m a bit awkward) and found this lifesaving video. Thank you! It’s helped me tremendously in my approach and demeanor.
I agree with everything but the hands on the waist. When people put their hands on the waist in the conversation, psychologically it's actually a sign of not feeling confident, that's why they subconsciously try to take more space.
Loved the lesson. I use the hands on hips for confidence &/or even when I'm waiting to cross the road and I want to feel good! Now you've given me a couple of new variations to try!
(Johanna) Crossing of arms : SHE IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. When crossing your arms with your hands exposed, shows you are willung to converse. The crossing of arms in this way also shows you have control of the atmophere, which a sign of a leader. So more than likely people will want to know your thoughts, feelings and or even ask you to take the lead in something.
You really inspire us to be confident. I think its a privilege to learn these from you. Its really a big deal for common women to approach a image consultant to learn style, body language and dressing. You make it so simple and easy for us. P.S. even in incorrect posture you look awesome :)
It's time men stop telling women how to be. This seems more recent , these bossy, condescending arrogant men. They are also very critical of men that don't " add up " to their hyper-masculine ideals. One of them called my boyfriend a " soy boy " because he's thin and not tall. They don't accept individuality diversity in people.
Super useful thanks! I have always been painfully shy and I'm confident implementing these types of body language will make me feel better about myself and make me show up more confidently all round. I've written all these poses / tips on my phone so I can regularly read them back to constantly remind me of what kind of things to do. I want them to just become second nature and that can only happen with regular practice. Thanks once again
Last few words, oh god amazing.! Every women out there needs another women to support her.! True say💕🙏🌈 Thanks for making this video😘 Huge fan of ur videos .!👑 Keep sharing them mam☺️😊
In my 20's, I use to take pictures before and I would look at pictures of Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. I recognize the Elegant strength in your poses. They are Empowering. Thank you for providing this helpful information and reminders to Give us Ladies our confidence back. Because one failed marriage, 1 son, and 3 moves changed me over the years. It'd be nice to feel like a Powerhouse.
I really like her charisma and love her since I saw her in a video song "Mar Gaye Tera Roop wekh k ni assi". I was a kid at that time. But she looks the same now how she used to look then. Literally she is a queen.
Wow...it just dawned on me why I don’t come across as “sexy” or “friendly”. I just tend to come across confident & classy (seems to be what I communicate)...now I know it’s just “power poses”. Wow...I’m now embracing this. Btw You’re gorgeous!
Because I am super small with quite delicate bone structure, the "take as much space as possible" poses seems weird on me - I look quite laughable (quite the opposite of what I wanted to comunicate). Taking a lot of space is just so unnatural for my body it never looks good. Its almost like a contrast between me and the power pose, so I actually look more weak. Anyway, great video, I loved the hand on the chin pose - I need to try this.
Hi Parmita. I am Farah Khan , a fashion designer and a specialist in hand embroidered textiles. Before seeing your videos I thought I know every thing. But trust me you are too good. I love all your videos and I am enjoying all your tips. Wish you all the best all ways.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! I do alot of these poses but never realized they are considered as power pose! Except the steeple pose. I'm a professor at a university... maybe this why my students intially tell me that I seem very intimidating.....Until they get to know me. It is not intimidation it is confidence !!!! #5"9 LOVE THIS VIDEO ! THANKS!
This is a great quick lesson, especially loved the visually insecure or disengaged poses that become powerful with one small tweak! Looking forward to seeing subtle changes when I upgrade my postures, especially at work.
OMG, I wasn't event looking for this video and it just showed up below another video I was watching. I have been thinking about how now that Im becoming a public figure I'm having to take a lot more pictures and I don't know how to pose. Also I have 3 kids and I'm a little wider now than I was before my kids so I feel self conscious when I take pictures so I feel like maybe I start to do awkward things when I'm posing for pictures. I love these poses in this video do you have any other videos on poses for someone a little more curvy like when sitting down how could I pose for pictures without my stomach looking like a focal point?
Hi parmita !! Why dont you make a video on fashion careers that our country offers. For many fashion lover teenagers, they choose fashion designing not knowing there's also a thing called styling...(and a lot more) it will help them the way out..and you actually have many young followers as well...pls do if possible..and the video was bobm as usually❤
Very enlightening. Interesting I learned how a woman is making better impressions than men when meeting a customer for the first time. First, impressions are important and memorable. Thank you, Parmita! I like learning something new every day!!! I look forward to your next lesson. Have a great day!
Parmita, can you please do a tutorial on how to dress in the cold winter months in Chicago. I'm looking for guidance on dressing business casual for work while feeling warm without looking like a blimp or feeling masculine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Really enjoy all your videos. Keep them coming!
I truly believe that what makes a woman beautiful is her femininity. The most confident women in the world are the ones who can display their feminine side without being awkward or over the top. Many body language gestures you have demonstrated in you video are actually very manly gestures, that doesn’t suit an elegant lady that much. The real confidence and power comes from embracing our own skin, not to imitate others.
Yes agreed. Like in some africa countries, they would see you as arrogant and lack respect. So I guess just know where you are b4 you do any of these poses.
New subscriber here. I have been doing all these poses but in the wrong way. Sure, they made me look confident and "model-y" because I am 5'11 but comparing them to how properly the poses are in the video, I see room for improvement. I am now working on strengthening my back muscles through stretching and improving on my sitting habits. I at times am known to slouch which makes me look awkward especially with my height. Strengthening leg muscles is also key. If you are not into gym workouts, I advice stretching the muscles through basic yoga poses targeting the specific areas you wish to strengthen. When you wake up in the morning, do some mild stretching on your bed then proceed to drink water. I only enjoy plain water when I am thirsty but early in the morning or when I need to hydrate, I drink water that has mint leaves and pineapple chunks. Again, not everyone is the same. Some have intolerance to the acidity due to medical reasons, so do you. Do what you feel is comfortable with you. One more last advice from a novice... Learn to listen to your body. Similar to when you know you are hungry, your body will alert you when it needs water example is when you are sleeping and suddenly feel like drinking water. Just do it.... Thank you for taking the time to read through my rumblings. Love from Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪
This was just what I needed coz I am a woman who enjoys the sense of being in power everywhere and in everything I wear and do. This video is awesome Parmita... I now got boost to my style. Class and power. I consider this as woman empowerment too...
Hi Parmita, You have a some really good points here but 70% of the poses you present goes well in a fashion magazine, or in the show-biz. I promise you that if you are a business woman or you try these at work you will look cocky and provoke your male colleagues in an unwanted way. Man love power first, then women - we should never openly challange this principle. So, yes we should be feeling good about ourself, stay straight, knees closed or legs crossed at sitting but posing with hands on your hips and legs at distance is taken 100% as territorial and professional attack in mens' world. Absolute, we need to be confident but stay feminine and ladylike because as sad as true - no, we cannot beat men on their own game we need to play our games on them (and with much caution). Thanks for your presentation, I enjoyed and appreciate your work.
I really needed some poses to empower me and watching this video was worth it... 😍😍💕Thank u soo much for supporting womens out there who need a gorgeous lady like you Mashallah 😍
Great video once again, Parmita. Thank you! Could you do a video on blazers for everyday wear and office wear? You look so powerful and elegant in blazers. Love the gold one you wore in this video. And your posture that you consciously keep up is to be appreciated.
I subbed immediately after watching this video. I liked the whole concept of power posing. I especially liked the bloopers at the end. Thanks for keeping it real. You're a true inspiration!
I subscribed, turned on notification, watched advert, liked and commented. First time I'm doing all of this on a video. This is so useful. Thank you Mammi, you just bagged a fan.

3:14 Yes classy and elegant, thats my style. These are the exact tips I was looking for. Thank you so much‼️👍
I always feel so confident when I try anything you teach in your videos.
Actually hard to impress someone by posing ....but you make it so simple someone who practice like that ...no one can underestimate that person.....!!
kritika jain you are right about that. It’s crazy how your body language can change your impression about someone

I agree with everything but the hands on the waist. When people put their hands on the waist in the conversation, psychologically it's actually a sign of not feeling confident, that's why they subconsciously try to take more space.
Maybe do it when you're standing outside and not in a smaller room.

Lol! I thought that happens when I have shorter pixie cut. 😊 thanks

A stunningly beautiful woman with brains and talents! Modern women needs to learn how to be powerful without losing her femininity.
@@livspencer3742 , Well go ahead dress and act like a men just to show that you are powerful then. Who's stopping you!

Okay Queen, first time seeing one of your videos - I'm sold! New subscriber! This video was incredibly helpful !
Same exact comment!
Nicely done. Sitting positions are good to know. Once told my sitting position seems inappropriate inviting unwelcome ideas in a men mind.
amazing body language

I do these most of the time. They come naturally. I don't force them. Especially the hand under the chin, the thinking move.
You look like a mix of Halle Berry and Jenna Dewan. Absolutely gorgeous.
