It was my favorite stretch of the river till “ Douglaston” outsmarted the state of N.Y. Why do you call it “the barrel” ? I think it is a lot easier to fish now compared to when I first fished it.

weird technique pinching the line with your hand. Negates your drag and looses fish that way.
