I took notes and two days ago started doing exactly this. It worked well for the last two days. My engagement jumped up by 200%, no joke!! Unfortunately, now Instagram is restricting me from commenting. They treat every comment as spam despite the fact I write out decent things. Similar to this comment LOL! Any advice would be appreciated. Tik tok is unfortunately the same way. While I guess this isn’t the worst thing in the world, since I only started composing/producing over the weekend, but I would like to build while I get better, rather than wait until I’m good to then start engaging. I feel like this is more earnest and allows my potential fans to really “come along for the ride”! If anyone else has some advice, I’d appreciate it!
I've been posting shorts for two weeks on TikTok, instagram and TH-cam and I have a short that got 1k views yesterday. I know it is baby steps but for two weeks I already have 2k views on my channel with about 24 views before I started posting properly about a month ago.

If being judged by others is stopping you from going after your dreams you're living for others and not yourself. Fetty Wap finding success with the same situation you have should give you encouragement if anything. Courage comes from wanting something more than the fear of failure. Good luck.

It's totally spammy if all someone does is promote themselves in the stories. 100%. That's not what stories are for though. The stories are nurturing content. Documenting you life, interests, sharing other posts you like, behind the scenes, day in the life, etc. Assuming most of us are awake like 16 hours a day, 7 quick stories doesn't seem like much. Also, feel free to work up to that and land wherever you feel comfortable.

Stories are a fantastic way to engage with your followers. So, one reel a day and seven stories a day, seven days a week. Remember, consistency is key!
I have been trying this for about 12 days with 10 reels. I can see that I've reached more accounts, but that my following has gone down. I fear that the followers I already have don't like this new shift from mostly picture posts to reels. They engage more when I post photos. Any advice? Should I just keep going with the reels and see where it leads? Or should I have a balance between photos and reels? Anyways, thanks for the great advice Adam, I was so inspired by this video.
It’s normal to lose followers in the first week or two and that’s why I mention to not check stats for the first 14 days. So either your reels aren’t as engaging or your followers aren’t real fans. So that being said I would continue to mix in photos but know that IG is moving away from photos overall.

@@kissflame Stick to the plan and keep it simple...if you go every other day you'll lose track and then stop. It has to be every day. It then levels out over time. This is a marathon not a sprint.👍
For my entire music experience I've had a lot of practice singing and dabbling in a lil guitar/piano but I've never actually learned how to make any original music. Any advice or tutorials to write songs basically boil down to "Step one: write music. Step two: record it. Step three: publish it" and largely unhelpful. I'm more of a vocalist than a writer but i can't seem to get the ideas out of my head and into a DAW
Hey Daniel, I hear your pain! Have you tried collaborating with a producer? Also you can buy some beats and write topline (lyrics and melody) over the top. Then you have an instant song. Keep it simple. What's your style/genre?

It's still a solid strategy but many people try and do it all at once which as of late causes actions blocks. Just spread it out over the day.

The stories isn't that hard, i think 7 a day is manageable. Creating 1 good reel/day is hard though. I never have any good ideas for reels :/
