Another tip: if you want to lock out Face ID temporarily (e.g., if law enforcement wants in your phone they could potentially just hold your phone to your face) you can hold down the sleep + volume down for a second and it will require the passcode. Face ID won’t activate until the passcode is entered again.

If your friend(or anyone) takes your phone and tries to hold it up to your face just keep yours eyes closed and it won’t work and if they try to force your eyes open💀 well their hands or any objects covering or blocked your face obviously woke work either

I find this video extremely helpful as I'm learning these tricks to the iphone 11 pro Max as a first time iphone user coming from android (Galaxy Note 8). I was always team Android but having purchased an ipad air & MacBook Air it'd only make sense to make the switch. My phone is en route & this video is helping me get ready to master this high end tech when it comes.

I've used an iPhone for many years, but haven't upgraded in a long time. I just went from an iPhone 6S Plus to an 11 Pro Max so many of these things were new to me. I thought the video was extremely helpful to learn about some of the features that may be "basic" to a lot of you, but were new to me. My only trouble was that I was trying to follow along and he moved pretty quickly from one topic to another. Thank goodness for the pause button. And thanks for the video.

Press and hold either left buttons on the phone as well as the right button on the side until at the top of the screen under the notch, a magical shiny bar appears and says "slide to power off" from there slide the circle with the on/off button on SCREEN to the right. 2. just press and release (***DO NOT HOLD IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO ACTIVATE SIRI, YOUR ELECTRONIC APPLE ASSISTANT LIKE ALEXA BUT ON THE iPhone/only friend***) the button on the right.

People talk mad trash on the swipe and hold gesture to get to the recent apps but after like a week you get fast af at it and it’s way better than a button on the screen or double tap on the home button

Thank you for the video. I'm switching from android and those tips are perfect for me. Additionally I asked my friend who owns iPhone X if there is possibility to fast switch to previous app and he showed me only swipe slowly up and not this cool swipe horizontally on the bar.

Some of my screens didn't have all that yours did. For instance, the notes wouldn't lock nor did they have the pin option. 11 pro max
Harriette Connell try switching from notes saved on your icloud to notes saved on your phone. I had came across this trick on an online article. Hope it helps.

I haven't owned an iPhone since the 6 Plus. I currently have a Galaxy Note 9. I just made the decision to buy the 11 Pro Max. Definitely needed these tips. I do plan to keep my Note 9 and swap Sim Cards should the need arise.
