I am so grateful for this. I am trying many different things to solve mental issues I am going through and I had a huge emotional release during this which tells me it helps and I need to keep doing it. Thank you so much ❤
I love this practice so much! I yawn throughout it which is a good sign it really is activating our parasympathetic nervous system (which the vagus nerve is a part of). I do this before bed most nights and I notice it helps me sleep a lot better. Thank you so much!
What a gift this was❤ We had to put our sweet cat to sleep recently and my mind has been all over the place….. This class helped me to focus and what a difference I feel now. I still miss her, but I feel a little weight lifted❤ Thank you ❤
I love, love, love your classes! Like Alison Darby I notice some sensation in my right eye, so there is plenty of work to do in the future. Thank you Joelle
Hi Joelle. I enjoyed doing this practice. But I did notice that I struggled to look over right shoulder and when I looked to the right it felt like my eyes were jumping. Great video. Thank you 😊
That's a terrific observation Alison! It's a great way of understanding which of our muscles (even tiny little muscles around the eyes) aren't as strong as others. Great job 🙌
@@alisondarby594 It's mostly just practice, but another fun little practice you could add in would be this quick one for the head (and everything in it!): th-cam.com/video/CowDRuY0qPM/w-d-xo.html
Whoops! I accidentally pushed the Comment button to soon. I still wanted to tell you that I started to yawn straight after the ear massage. That was a quick reset😃 Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful practice🙏❤
What is the fastest way to calm the vagus nerve? Just a few minutes of deep breathing can keep your vagus nerve active. Meditate. Meditation activates the vagus nerve and calms the network of nerves that control myriad physiological processes. “Meditation and mindfulness not only lower your heart rate, but they also reduce blood pressure levels.” Nutrients that support the vagus nerve include: Choline (to make acetylcholine, our main neurotransmitter) Vitamin B12. Magnesium.
Thanks for the suggestion! I will definitely keep this in mind :) In the meantime, if you search "yoga with joëlle vagus nerve" on TH-cam, you will find a couple that may be helpful 🙏🙏
Join me for a 5-minute meditation? This is my favorite EVER: th-cam.com/video/QBKhqDtlMdc/w-d-xo.html 😉
I checked my blood pressure before and my blood pressure after--It was high before this practice and normal after. This works! Thanks.
That is amazing! Thank you for sharing, Helen! I hope this continues to help ✨
I've neglected my practice for weeks. This brought me right where I needed to be 😢. 🙏

Are the circles inside your ears going forwards or backwards?
Either direction works :)

Thanks for joining me Marina, so glad you liked it! 😊
When you say the 'inside of the ears' where exactly do you mean? The actual ear hole or the hollow just below and to the side?
To the side! Like I say in the video we're not actually blocking the ear, just resting on the flat part 😉
