    I rebuilt a 4 ton trolley jack for my father a few years ago because it was leaking externally.
    All I had to replace was the O ring on the end of the piston as the wiper seals were still good,I just refilled it with Dexron III ATF & it has been used a lot since with no problems !

    It’s amazing just to see you tear down that 32 ton jack and fix it to working condition. Where rest of the world would just throw it away and buy a new one. It’s good to see somebody who cares. Please keep up the good work. You did a very good job👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍

    I love how they fix everything. Nothing goes to waste. Basically, everything is restored.Here in U.S.A made in China stuff doesn’t last long, instead of fixing it, we throw it away and buy new ones.This tools are made well, and when they don’t work like they used to, it gets restored👍

    Their effort is beautiful, and to think that many of us throw away those jacks because there is no one to repair them

    • @karozans
      @karozans 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is no need to repair them in a 1st world nation. When the cost of labor becomes much more than the cost of materials, it becomes more costly to repair something than to build a new one. In the USA, even just 50 years ago, this sort of thing was done all the time.
      My dad is 83 and is very old school. He doesn't understand that if you spend 6 hours of your day trying to rebuild and fix a door knob that you can buy for $25 at the local hardware store, you have just wasted your entire day. You just spent $100 dollars of your labor repairing a $25 door knob.
      In the US and the Western world, there indeed are some things that are such high quality and so expensive that you do want to repair, rather than throw away. My brothers and I repair our own vehicles all the time, and it is WAY cheaper than buying new ones. Of course, most people don't learn how to repair their own vehicles these days and end up buying a new one every 2 to 5 years.

      What do you think would be the most economically profitable? Cutting down an entire forest all at once, thereby ending all revenue after that one time? Or only cutting down the right number of trees and planting more so that you are ensured to have more trees to cut down in the future?

      Part of the reason the skills were lost is the fact most modern stuff is designed and manufactured in such a way that it's not rebuildable in the first place. Just look at all the brand new bottle jacks that advertise "welded construction" like it's a feature and not an open admission that they're completely unrepairable.

    While I respect his obvious skills and experience, when you are dealing with something that has to hold 32 Tonnes and has the potential to cause serious injury or even death, you have to follow the correct procedure.
    Pushing new seals in with a screwdriver and re-using the old oil you took out of it is not two of them.

      they don't care for their own life, why should care for somebody elses? Seriously all I can see is serious lack of education, I think that most of this men wasn't have even elementary school. They know something about mechanics, but their knowlege is full of holes, you can clearly see lack of proper education in all of videos this type.

      @@noumanabbasi9547 look pal I have car repair garage. I'm my own boss so I know a thing or two about mehanics. This guys have some amazing skills to do job with no tools or barely any tool but they lack knowledge and attention to details. Their repairs are pure luck 50% chance it will work and 50% chance.it won't. I watches video where guy serviced trucj transmission and he wasn't bothered to put new oil in after repair?! Dealing with molten metal on the ground with only sandals on their feet? If he is that poor that he can not buy himself proper safety boots when dealing with molten metal he could at least wrap his feets in some blankets, nylon, use proper shoes no matter how crappy they are. They just don't care for their own safety and for repairs to be done well. When you add a bunch of "I don't care for anything" people and corrupted goverment you get hell on earth like that 3rd world country named pakistan

    • @Tinnitussss
      @Tinnitussss 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lordred7462 I 90% agree with what you are saying here, and even in this video, the hydraulic oil is such low, when the jack was under the truck it was barely moving, there could even be leaks, which we cannot see here, he has to put that under such truck and measure the piston height and check probably several hours after to see whether any leakage or not, even he filtered that oil, but I'm not sure what type of filter he used, there are many particles that can still cause corrosion and pass by that filter, besides hydraulic oil degrades over time, etc. etc. many gaps are certainly there. But I what I don't agree is, it is not about that they don't care about their life or each other's life, it is simply they are not aware/conscious of such consequences and what/how can be prevented, it is just about the education, if you don't practice you don't do it, this is simply all about that. I don't think any of them just living suicidal.

    • @lordred7462
      @lordred7462 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Tinnitussss yes, you're right they lack formal education. And proper one. In any mechanical class teacher won't teach you to just reuse old hydraulic fluid because it's just bottle jack. That bottle jack holds 20 tons above their heads when in use so they don't wont for it to fail. right? they live dangerously and even don't know it.

He didn't use even 5 ml of paint to protect against possible rust. He just did a rough cleaning and you guys who put out the video call it an amazing restoration? Please give me a brake!!!

    Interesting to watch that they only use like 5 different tools for this job. In western countries we would use like 15-20 different ones, plus all the different chemicals for cleaning this and that...In the end, the thing that truly matters is what works or not. My point is, you can achieve a lot of things with a hammer, a philip screwdriver and some pliers. And the mindset of make it work.

    Minutes 7:24..he installed wrong part...O-ring not supposedly to be there, he supposed installed wiper/lipseal there to avoid the dirts from going inside the oil reservoir and further damage the internals.
    Minutes 10:44 there supposedly have 1 o-ring and 1 backup ring..but he put 1 o-oring only
    Minutes 2:15 he didnt service the relieve valve which is the most important when you are doing load holding.
