Thanks to Wiimmfi it allows the Wii to still play online games even with the close of Nintendo WFC.This tutorial is a guide for PC users to also be able to enjoy some online fun especially with the ever so popular Mario Kart Wii.

@@adensmigovsky3788 you need a wii nand, search google for a nand generator and replace your dolphin nand with that so it recognizes dolphin as a real wii

I had to wait 7 days which made me think it was working, the timer goes down and i check it literally every day, so im thinking "FINALLY i got it to work. I cant wait to finally play MKW online on dolphin!!" But then when the 7 day timer is finally done i get a different error code that says im using a Doplhin NAND and found out wiimmfi doesnt support NANDs that dont come from on actual WII anymore, so how is it actually working for you is my question?

@@GEERTIOHULST It actually didn't end up working because I didn't have a NAND, when I tried it again with a NAND ripped from my Wii it worked fine. Everything worked perfectly except that.

Please help! I have an error while using the Wiimmfi patcher. When I drag my MKW ISO into the file and double click patch-wiimmfi the cmd comes up, says Setup... then patcher, host, wit, wszst, etc. but then gives me an instant message saying error 76. I've looked everywhere to no avail and have tried doing the steps over again and again. Pls help!
same problem- I have my MKW file as a .7z and .wbfs, and both give me ERROR 112 when running the patcher.

When I try to run the patcher with Mario kart wii in the folder it doesn’t work, the patcher just has a flashing white - at the top of the screen

Here's the new way to do it after the wiimmfi unbanner patch:
Before you do anything, you'll need a softmodded wii that has both homebrew channel and bootmii. If you've never softmodded your wii, continue to step 1. If you've softmodded your wii, but never installed bootmii, skip to step 5. If you have both the hombrew channel and bootmii installed already, skip to step 13.
1. Start up your wii console
2. Go to settings>wii settings (take note of the wii's system version here, it will be on the top right of the first page)> internet (it should be on the second page)
3. Once you're in the internet settings, select console information. Take note of your console's mac address
4. Insert your SD card into your computer, the sd will need to be formatted to FAT32 in order for this to work. To format the SD card, follow the instructions here: www.wikihow.com/Format-an-SD-Card. Know that this will erase all data currently on the SD card, so be sure to back up anything important before proceeding
4a. If your SD card is alread in FAT32 format you can skip step 4 entirely. To check what format your SD Card is on Windows, use this tutorial: boneview.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/16000031594-what-format-is-your-sd-card-in-right-now-quickly-check-the-sd-card-properties-here (I don't own a Mac so I don't know how to do it on there, sorry about that)
5. go to please.hackmii.com, select your wii version and enter your mac address. Check the box that says "Bundle the HackMii Installer for me!"
6. check I'm not a robot and complete the CAPTCHA. once completed, cut either wire, then download the file.
7. Once the file is downloaded, unzip the file onto your SD card
8. Insert the SD card into your wii (you'll need a wii remote that does not have wii motion plus inside to continue on from this point).
9. back out of the wii settings and go to your message board and find the red envolope with the bomb inside. If this is your first time softmodding your wii, it will be in one of three places:
-Today's date
- Yesterday's date or
- the day before yesterday
click on it and let the application load
10. press 1 to continue.
11. Install both homebrew channel (if you haven't installed it already) and bootmii
12. Exit the page, you should be taken back to the wii menu
13. Open the homebrew channel, once inside, hit the home button on your controller
14. select Launch BootMii
15. Once you load into BootMii the controller will turn off. To see the controls for navigating bootmii, visit this website: www.wiibrew.org/wiki/BootMii#Controls
16. Navigate to the button with the two gear icons and select it
17. Once you've enter the bootmii settings, select the first option
18. If you're using a gamecube controller, press A to start the backup creation. If you're using the buttons on the console to navigate bootmii, hit reset to start the process.
19. Let the system backup the NAND file. this will take a few minutes
20. Once the backup has finished both processing and vertifying the backup, hit any button on the gamecube controller or wii to exit
21. Once you exit, navigate to the back arrow and select it
22. select the wii option to return to the wii buttn to return to the main menu
23. At this point, you no longer need the wii. You now can move to preparing dolphin so that it is compatible with online.
24. Follow this guide by Leseratte: forum.wii-homebrew.com/index.php/Thread/58902-Required-Wiimmfi-Patcher-update-for-Mario-Kart-Wii/?postID=702443#post702443 (stop at step 9)
25. Once you're finish with Leseratte's guide, follow the steps in this video until 12:14, as stated beforehand wiimmfi unbanner has been patched.
26. You should be prompted to wait 7 days for activation, now you just need to wait to play mkwii online!
If you have any questions or have any trouble with any of the steps, please let me know. This took me awhile to make.

Actually it won't work...Now in 2020 you need a real wii and gotta copy it's nand to dolphin and change dolphin Mac address to the same as your wii...if you want, text me on discord and I can help you out with running wiimmfii on dolphin for mkwii....my discord is Falto#7819

You can drag your wii nand to dolphin if you don’t want to use the unbanner just drag nand.bin to the wii folder in dolphin

What they forget to tell you in this video is that you CANNOT update your dolphin emulator while the 7-day waiting process is happening, since the Wiimifi Unbanner is unbanning your CURRENT DOLPHIN BUILD, updating it during the 7-day wait time will resolve in you having to wait another 7 days ( I would know this because it just happened to me), Note: This is only a warning for people who have the developer version of dolphin, People with the stable version are fine because there isn't really an update for that every other day

copy the 11.app file to ur homescreen and then use it on the other file -> then copy back

AirRide hey man i realized that you must have the system files from an actual wii to get this to work. You have to either get a wii or ask a friend.
AirRide and btw the files are called NAND files.

It's says on any device where I open one of the links in the description, It says it might have disturbing content or malware, And since I love my computer and want to protect it while also playing Mario Kart Wii online, Is there any malware I can get from this, or is it just the file name That makes it think it has malware
It said the same thing for me, (I'm assuming the google drive and dropbox files right?) but after I have dowloaded and installed everythingand got the seven day ban, I can say that the files in the description are safe, but make sure you download the right files. (The NUS downloader and the extract.somethingidk files from the first link, the v6 zip file which I believe was 18 MB from the second link and that unbanner.exe dropbox file from the third. Well I'm uncertain how much a conformation from someone online is, but if you needed this, here you go :) (ONE THING, I'm not certain if this method WORKS I'm gonna try this after a week, but the comment section said that they had an error. I also will try to fix it but it would include downloading more riskier files. TL;DR This method is safe as long as you download the right files but uncertain if it will work. Have a nice day

@@seggsbenny Shouldn't be struggling to find a game as the servers are always relatively packed, the only thing i can assume is your not selecting "Worldwide" when searching

Also when I downloaded the patcher im missing alot of files.

What worked for my was doing 8:21 again but at a other location of the dolpin emulator file. There are two the same dolphin files so watch closely
Hi, after during the second download percentage of Wimmfi Patcher, I get an 112 Error, I believe I am working with an Iso disk. Could you confirm how you turned your download and extracted of MKWii?
Make sure you have an .iso file and not an .nkit.iso or .wbfs file.
Everything is working fine, except the Unbanner! If I press enter it just closes and nothing happens!

*WARNING TO ANYONE WANTING TO PLAY ONLINE ON THE DOLPHIN EMULATOR* This method is outdated as the "Wiimmfi unbanner doesn't work, nor is this method endorsed by the Wiimmfi community. To actually play Wiimmfi on Dolphin, you will need an actual NAND file backed up from an actual Wii. The unbanner method shown in this video will not work and can result in a ban if you try to play using it.
i did this and after the 7 days it told me i still have a default dolphin nand despite patching it correctly

I did the procedures with the most up-to-date patch I waited for 7 days and I got the error: 23918 wiimmfi access denied (maybe NAND dolphin standard), I don't have a console to use the original nand any other solution

Problem is that your Dolphin and Mario Kart Wii folder were different than mine. So that is why I got annother errorcode. Why do you have a different folders of Dolphin? I also downloaded older versions of dolphin but nothing changed. Thanks for any help!
