My husband and I started our camping/roadtrip adventure using our Honda Pilot. We loved it. We were able to add solar and a small fridge too. I’ve enjoyed the Heyduke trail and I can’t wait for the final video of the series.
Solar and a fridge sounds really cool. Do you have the solar mounted on a roof rack? That would be a next step for us to elevate our car living. We’re glad you like the duke!
My son lived out of my van while hiking the BC Rockies for a couple months, and a $30 ac inverter off Amazon worked great for powering his lap top from the van's lighter socket. This will let you use your laptop in the SUV without having to go to libraries or coffee shops! Thanks for your videos, you're my fave hiking channel.
That’s an awesome idea! We will look into an ac inverter. Your son’s BC adventures sound very cool. We would like to hike in Canada. It seems gorgeous.
We use the Bestek one, it works great for us. I hope you guys get out to the GDT some day. My son did most of it and its #1 on my bucket list when I retire!
@DDF1408 the GDT is exactly what we want to do! Someone told us it feels like the Rocky Mountains on steroids because everything is so incredibly beautiful. That’s an awesome bucket list item.
His pictures were incredible! No 10k footers but parts are super remote and he didn't see people for days on end. Long food carries at the end. Long pants needed for some sections with the brush. Hard part is getting permits for the national parks and then hitting those windows, but nothing new there for you guys. Jupiter had a few videos on it (did it same time as my son and they met a few times). I hear the wildfires this year may have affected some routes. Hope you guys get out there!
You two are just super pleasant to watch. Just chill, wholesome, and dialed in. You have something special with this channel and these vibes. Keep going.
Love the set up and looking forward to more videos. I’m so happy I got to meet both of you in Bishop Mountain Rambler Brewery. You guys are the coolest!! Happy trails ⛰️
It was awesome meeting you too. We tried driving the white mountain road a couple days later but it was way too bumpy and we turned around. You guys were totally right about it being rough haha. Thanks for the beer!
So glad you two are back! We wandered where the heck you disappeared to. Looking forward to the remainder of The Hayduke since Jupiter mentioned you two in his last video. You sure keep good company.
Great work on the videos this summer guys, excited to see the rest of your Hayduke journey. Hope we can do some skiing together again this winter! Stay warm until Nov! - Gunnar
@@dirtyjarhikes Yup yup, couldn't have done GL for another season. We got a place in Fraser now, 10 min from the resort. No more 40 minute commute lol.
Adorable vid guys! When I am missing trail life it's watching videos of yours that most make me feel like I am back out there. Thankyou
Thanks :) we like watching videos when we miss trail life too haha. Trail is such a good place to be.

Upgrade suggestion: guarantee any thrift store will have a selection of tackle or tool boxes for a buck to store those spices in.
Ooo that’s a good idea. It would fit nicely behind the front seat
Such a cool and great little video. Loved this so much.

Can’t wait to see you guys in real life! 💗✨ ps I like those cozy loafers 🙂
