This video is packed full of epic adventures! We drink our way through wine country, visit the cutest penguins in Bettys Bay, and even go diving with giant sharks in Gansbaai!
If you are a wine lover you might already know that South Africa is one of the top 10 largest wine producers in the world. It is also home to one of the oldest wine countries (or Winelands) outside of Europe, a wine country that we could not pass up the chance to visit! Join us as we drink our way through Robertson, Franschoek, and of course Stellenbosch.
After a few days in wine country it was time to continue on the road trip. It wouldn’t be a proper Garden Route Road Trip without a stop at the Stony Point Penguin Colony in Betty’s Bay. Stony Point Nature Reserve is home to one of the largest breeding colonies of the endangered African Penguin in the world. We could have stayed and watched those little guys forever, they are just the CUTEST!
One of the top adventures on the Garden Route is shark cage diving, so of course we couldn’t miss our opportunity. We headed down to Gansbaai because it has the largest populations of great white sharks in the world. We were thrilled to be able to dive with these giant beasts!

To think we have over 500 wineries here in Cape Town.. Despite living here I will probably never get the time and money to see them all.. Wont stop me trying.

@@SammyandTommy Babylonstoren, Spier, the whole Durbanville area is great for white wines. Durbanville hills is good, won best sparkling wine in the world last year, Maastricht nearby is smaller, nice intimate vibe built in a refurbished barn. Klein Roosboom is also unique, has private cave-like cubicle tasting rooms. Spice route was voted best wine estate in SA recently, its probably my favourite too as it offers alot, you can taste wine, beer (has a brewery on the property), chocolate, Pizzeria, burger joint, upmarket restaurant, coffee shop curio shop and "beach bar"..its slightly elevated with amazing views over the farmlands..Groot Constantia was the first estate to produce wine in SA, Napoleon often ordered his favourite reds from here..
.. I could go on..that's a good start.

Oh man, I'm not a fan of wine, but looking at those it just gave me craaavings for a glass 🍷😁😁... Jesus, that cage had such a big opening, I was scared that chunk of meat would fall in and the sharks try to get inside! 😲😲.. It looks awesome, though! Great video! 😎😎

As a South African, South Africa is not recommended as a holiday destination, the black government has crippled the country and its not safe due to unemployment and poverty. Go somewhere else.
