Hi! It's Lois here, today's demo looks at painting a loose misty forest, using salt effects for the forest floor plants, ferns, flowers etc! I'm not worried about keeping things perfect, but trying to suggest detail and looking for atmosphere, and light and contrast.
I'm using Saunders Waterford cold pressed paper, 11" x 15"/28cms x 38cms, but use whichever size you prefer. I tell you the colours and brushes as I paint, but please feel free to use any similar or ones that you prefer.
The focus is on painting loose, concentrating on staying loose and getting light and shadow across the landscape, with the sweeping path and mid ground tree.

Astonishing work - the muted colours are fascinating and the illusion of distance mesmerising
Thank you so much! 😊
