I just set a fast lap several laps in a row after this, I was pretty good at F1 22 but the car slides so much more in the back than I expected and this literally stopped any loss of control, and allowed me to shave a second off my time each lap
Good Lord thank you! I was having a rough time with traction control from a too much responsive throttle. And my tire wearing management has improved too since direction doesn't make the car turn that much now and I can trace smoothly.
A very good recommendation (the best and most basic) is to deactivate the adaptive triggers of the controller, they do not work well and there are times that you get a very strong pull and other times that it does not even give the system time to activate, in short, the Triggers do not show reality since sometimes they are not activated or have lags and it only complicates things. I also do not recommend calibrating the control since this will cause us to lose complete control of the car, in fights with the AI or in curves that we are too far past we will not have the opportunity to swerve and readjust the direction, or due to a very good hand that we have with the accelerator we will be able to start slowly due to the adjustments (It is very typical to go perfect on fast circuits with open curves and go to Monaco and eat all the walls)
Hey Thomb. I watch you on Twitch as RedRune and I checked out these settings this morning and I would say it makes a difference. I play on PC and use a PS5 controller over a Xbox one I have as they don’t make good controllers for racing at all. So definitely recommend for controller users to have a PS5 or PS4 controller.
In f1 23 I have the problem when the wheels are locking I can't understand it early I don't know why For example in f1 18 in options has an extra vibration on my controller before the wheels lock so I can understand the limits of the grip
I was looking for controller settings for my PS5 dual sense to see if it was possible to turn the controller left and right to stear left and right, just like in Gran Tourismo game. I really hate the L1 joystick stearing and I don't find the answer that I was hoping to find.
@@JtheMitch yes there's people that played F1 2021 on a keyboard. Me! Level 65 I won every race with one exception: Monaco. My first F1 game was Grand Prix 1 and 2. People played in that time with a keyboard. There wasn't controllers. For F1 23 I admit is hard to play it on keyboard (tryed all configs i could) that's why i bought a ps5 dual sense controller. Hello guys I recently became the owner of F1 2024 for the PS4. What settings do I need to make so that I don't always have a 3 to 4 second lead in qualifying, for example. That's rather boring. I also win the sprint quite clearly. The main race gets a little more difficult. I'm a newbie and play with a controller. What settings do I need now? Thanks for your tips
Does anyone know why all of a sudden every car that I drive just barely turns left and right it’s like the game just doesn’t register the input as much. My settings are all correct and controller works fine
If it does not register the turn, it may be because you are going too fast or because you have an incorrect configuration, it is possible that it is incorrect and you have linearity above 0, that means that when you turn the steering wheel from 0 to 60 (in 1 sec) the game Calibrate that rotation speed and get you from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds, by the time you realize it your steering wheel is rotated to 48 in the 1.5 second and it will already be too late.
Sorry guys, but i need ask something. When I open controls I dont have there Trigger Vibration and Adaptive Triggers. If somebody knows please help me. Thanks

Had to come back and just sincerely thank you for this.
Absolutely made steering and throttle control much more immersive and less jerky.
Legend! Happy to hear that :)

thank you minimising the off track vibration was so helpful!
Ty so much dude I had default settings with no assist except for racing line and still felt a little off good vid man 😮
Excellent, thanks! Really useful and straightforward content 👍👍🏁🏁
Glad it was helpful!
Felt lazy to connect my steer so was trying with controller. These changes gained me a couple of seconds 😂 amazing tips. Thanks a lot!
This video made me faster on my controller than my fastest laps on my wheel setup!
I just won the champions league with this on career mode good help thanks

What do you think about using the back buttons on the Dualsense Edge as shifter peddles
Thanks for this. Keep up the gd work.

Please, do a keyboard guide, I really love to play with keyboard. :)
Why?
Because it's necessary.
nobody plays with keyboards unfortunately. u could make one yourself
Keyboards in f1 23 is a horrible idea, controller is a must

Hey man. Could you please share how are you able to connect your PS5 controller with F1 23 game?
Just tried out these settings and I can drive with medium traction on and not stack it on the first corner. Thanks 😊
Awesome! Happy driving
🐐 top gedaan.. bedoel good job👏🏾
what about the twitch sudden move on the little touch what about steerşng rate ?
Hello guys
I recently became the owner of F1 2024 for the PS4.
Why is it that when I turn into a tight corner it always drifts. Can u tell me how to fix that?
Best settings so far
My steering is so much better
Nice vid but getting into the menus might be good to explain too.
I have put throttle saturation to 100 😂 I am too slow after kissing the apex of a curve and trying to get back to 100% speed
WHAT THE FLIIIIP
ty for the vid :D
Each time I put the power on with full assists on tight corner s I loose traction. I need to make your changes.
Why does my throttle and break goes to a 100 every time I press it I’m a beginner and which to know so that I can fix it 😅
I'm on xbox series s and don't have the adaptive triggers any reason why ?
because youre on xbox. Only ps5 has that
How do you bind r3 and the arrows
Wouldn’t you say “sweet spot” is all based on personal driving?
is it possible to play this game with a controller that without linear trigger, always spinning😢
The car simply doesn't turn, I've already put steering rate to 160% and doesn't turn on heavy braking 90º turns. This with a Xbox series X controller.
Idk why but my triangle for drs and my L1 for overtake don’t show up
DRS is what f1 drivers use to overtake. So what you are saying is you have the same thing assigned to 2 different buttons?
How do i turn off ray tracing off completely on PC?
pad players really play with adaptive triggers in on?
Try it out and see if you prefer it!
Does anyone know why all of a sudden every car that I drive just barely turns left and right it’s like the game just doesn’t register the input as much. My settings are all correct and controller works fine
It might be turning assist, if it's on it'll try to keep you on the natural racing line.
No I don’t use any turning assist the only assist I use is abs
If it does not register the turn, it may be because you are going too fast or because you have an incorrect configuration, it is possible that it is incorrect and you have linearity above 0, that means that when you turn the steering wheel from 0 to 60 (in 1 sec) the game Calibrate that rotation speed and get you from 0 to 60 in 4 seconds, by the time you realize it your steering wheel is rotated to 48 in the 1.5 second and it will already be too late.
Do you have to do this for every track or just one track?
These are general settings that will apply across the whole game!
Sorry guys, but i need ask something. When I open controls I dont have there Trigger Vibration and Adaptive Triggers. If somebody knows please help me. Thanks
f1 23 made me confused about the braking trough the corner. hard to play tho😢
What about sound? Why is the sound during the race so terrible? What wrong?
Someone pls jsut tell me how do i accelarate pls 😢
I just did it
Why can't we use motion sensor ps4 controller?
I"m usually a steering wheel nazi when it comes to racing games but I don't have the room in my current place so I might end up trying this one with a controller and see if it's fun
Steering saturation just goes back to to 0 even if it's on 100
how much worse is a controller compared to a casual sim driver?
It doesn’t have to be worse actually!
can i use my ps4 controller to f1 23
Of course
