Race looks cool, I really can't wrap my head around the town hall being a mobile pylon. I feel like every game vs celestials will be them just building outside your natural, and the mirror match is just going to be....weird.
The mirror match is weird if the travel distances are short. Albino wasn't prepared for the proxy and went a fast expand build. If Albino had anticipated the proxy cheese then (just like in SC2) it can be stopped and it's brutal for the Celestials player to try to recover. One thing Albino could have done was get out a few hedgehogs and go take out those mining nodes defenseless in the back. While Celestials are all about base mobility, their units are extremely slow except for the rolly bois and their air units so defending those nodes would have been very hard and caused the containment to slip or for that to just be free damage for Albino.
Yeah that’s surely something the team will have to work hard at balancing. They do give up a lot of defense for their added mobiliy though, it just wasn’t showcased very well in this game.

I like the celestial faction idea. As vanguard though I could not harass them because they easily stop a scout or rush. If they rushed me I was easily overpowered. Feel as though balance needs a lot of work. I know they will make a lot of improvements to balance factions out.
Counter-attacking them with a couple split-off units can be really strong because they spread their bases out so much, but the only Vanguard unit that can do that is hedgehogs. The problem is, Argents and Kri are so different and both come out early. Kri slaughter Exos, but you need Exos vs the Argents. Lancers get destroyed by the Argents, but you kinda need some vs the Kri. So Bio doesn't work very well. I went hogs and vulcans a lot, but even that was kind of difficult. I tried Medtechs to nanoswarm the Kri or the Vectors if they went for that instead, but it just was not really enough. Everything comes online a little too late. Vanguard just doesn't have a lot of Anti-Celestial tools. Hogs are kind of the best and the only real counter.
I still think this game is lacking distinct visual style (especially with the terrain). That being said the visual look of celestials’ artillery attack is beautiful!
Not sure what albino was doing, the common VvC matchup is getting into hedgehogs to get out on the map and stop these aggressive builds. Then transition into vulkan/medtek, (cause the nanoswarm can target enemies and it does bonus dmg to mech units which is most celestial units) vanguard was actually very dominate this beta.
I feel celestials looks really cool but its for some people seems celestials are a bit overpowered with they scouting ability because they can just fly everywhere with they buidling
In the beta test, it actually turned out that they were somewhat balanced. They werent the best race by any means (vanguard got a broken ability) and there wasnt anything rediculously broke

It was all the same words again and again about warcraft 3 Reforged, company of heroes 3 etc, always the same shit :"it's a beta/alpha bla bla bla". THIS is how the game will look at early acsess, only details will change.

My only criticism so far - and I know it's in alpha - is that the units look too plastic and the terrain too cheerful for a game set in the grim dark future where angels and demons wage brutal war across the stars and humans try to avoid getting caught in the crossfire and protect themselves with badass mechs and space marines.
They focused a lot on how the game feels to play, which is really really good, but graphics are not a priority for now, it'll be improved with time ofc.
I must agree, even though as mentioned by @davidbodor1762, their main focus was the gameplay, which feels smooth and easy to learn, especially if you are a veteran from rts. Graphics might be improved overtime by the company, or even by the community, with mods and so on. But still, the game indeed feels in-development, and will be sold as that to the general public, which might consider it plain and uninteresting in comparison to other titles.

over all good cast but I as a playtester who played ALOT of celestial it's sad that you put out so much miss information or not accurate information about the unit's and buildings
I think one big reason is that the game is no longer supported outside of the odd balance update, and players generally want to sink time into a game with regular updates.

So the most frustating thing in SC2 was playing against protoss proxies suportted with many shield batteries. And here they say, "well, lets build a race that is all about proxi buildings and offensive static defence"😢. What can go wrong with this approach? I think that they have achieved designing the worst faction in any RTS ever. I am really disapointed with Frost giant. The ideas coming from zerospace and aces of batlle are much better.

Stil long way to go, but it really smash.... 40 days count down :D:D (I am supporting it from the start.. )
The plastic-toys looking, the weird fairy-tale energy bolts/bullets, and everything else related to this art style really disgust me. An RTS game for princesses? Really disappointing!
I don't like the celestial at all. They were the reason I did not continue playing the beta. Floating straight to the enemy base and build defensive structures as the primary build is imo utter garbage for any rts.
It's amazing how people realy want to prove everyone around that the game is bad. Or that the game is good. Or that sc2 (or any other rts) is better. Almost like they need an approval of their feelings from everyone else rather than just enjoy what they like.
Maybe good people wants to show their support to devs So they need to say that the game is good and nice but needs more work to be perfect And maybe sc2 is a game that is still alive after nearly 2 decade

Agreed. Don’t forget that campaign is an afterthought for stormgate…Zerospace will crush this game because they put campaign in front of esports and skins…

If youre listening devs, please make a mechanism for players to control the creeps in creep camps. Nobody wants to watch AI units in a competitive 1v1 game. Its outdated and spectator unfriendly.

As an AOE WC3 and SC2 fan, this one looks kinda plain…. Like graphically and pace wise..

They grab all which make tosses annoing to play against, combine it together and make it's race default playstyle with also buffing it.
