Origins is a CRIMINALLY underrated game. This may be an unpopular opinion but Origins not only had the best version of Bane in the franchise but also the best version of The Joker
I agree!! Out of every bane the Arkham origins bane is the biggest and strongest and most fierce and when hes on venom hes 1000 times stronger and the Joker in arkham origins is literally terrifying
While Mark Hamill will always be the best Joker, in my personal opinion, Troy Baker has earned his place as Mark's successor as Joker's voice actor. He did a brilliant job in this game! 😁
I really appreciate that this version of the Joker seems to more or less personally retcon Batman into his backstory when he found him interesting. It's such a rare way to do it.
Anybody else think it’s straight bad ass how someone the size of bane walks up to joker and his smile just becomes bigger as he approaches. Love that moment 6:18
I think that it's because Joker is simply not afraid of dying. AT ALL (As we see in Arkham Knight, Joker's ACTUAL fear is to eventually be forgotten by time, not the idea of simply dying). Later in the game, he threatens Bane with blowing up the building that both he, The Joker and Batman are if Bane won't comply with Joker's demand, and after Bane Fires a bazooka at The Joker, the latter embraces it without any semblance of fear on his face. The Joker lives for chaos, and meeting his demise to him is just part of the chaos of life.
I don't know what it is about Troy Baker's captivating performance as the Joker, but it just seems waaayy better than Mark Hamills way of capturing Jokers insanity. P.S. Joker in Arkham Origins seems really focused on getting Batman to kill someone, even if it means sacrificing himself.
SoggyWaffles2874 probably because the Joker never encountered someone who sticks to their guns as much as Batman does. And he sees how close Batman is to becoming someone like him. I liked this version a lot because I feel like he really truly embodies what the joker should be, he just caused so much destruction. Killing the commissioner, kidnapping a mob boss, shooting his girl, taking over an entire hotel, blowing up buildings, then taking over a prison, the list goes on. What a night indeed lmao
Well that becomes his focus only mostly through the game when he meets Batman and gets such a quick read of his psyche. It’s a similar arc to the Joker in Dark Knight. His initial intention to kill Batman was an earnest one in both Origins and Dark Knight. But then he learned in both that, as he says in Dark Knight, “You’re just too much fun.” Here it changes when Batman saves his life. He learns killing Batman would actually be less satisfying than making Batman kill someone else…even if it’s him.
Batman needed access to the national criminal database before he could identify who the Joker was. He couldn’t do that in the field and besides by the time he had access he was meeting Joker at the bank. National criminal databases also from what my forensics class tells me has a method of identifying people by their voice, but Batman didn’t have the tech to fully analyze Joker’s voice before he broke into the GCPD. Thus making the supposed plot hole not a plot hole.
before anyone ask why batman take 3 handgun shot and relatively fine, but one shot in game is danger to his life: a handgun cartridge, in Joker case is 45acp, which have about 480 joules of force, in gameplay however the thug use .223 rifle, which pack 1500joule, and they fire in burst, 3 shot from joker handgun is relatively nothing
Yeah with the implications that 0.223 is better at piercing armor: it's a rifle round with a smaller diameter than 45 meaning more force applied to less area. Doesn't take much to stop a 45.
Around min. 18.. chills.. Mr. J. pretends to be more insane than he actually is, I remember I read that once in a comic too. He is able to think critically. People just underestimate him in general and don't get how intelligent he is

The Arkham Origins joker is the best imo. He doesn't sound totally ridiculous while still being hilarious. And he doesn't wear those stupid suits. Troy Baker did a great job with his voice.
The Gamer well origins joker has some noticeable differences, like his design and a slightly different voice. Also has a weird obsession with blowing up buildings and trying to get Batman to kill someone.

lets be honest here the first cutscene in the vid is brobly the best and most intense with the music
Genuine chills when Joker started beating Sionis.
One plot hole...wouldn't Batman have known that it wasn't even Sionis just by the voice?
and how Batman could tell that if you couldn't yourself?
Batman needed access to the national criminal database before he could identify who the Joker was.
