My grandmother would not approve of all the wasted plantain, she was Scottish and chastised me for taking to much potato when digging out a blemish, she came from a large family,11 siblings, but the principle is the same. I love your videos, you remind me of her, humble and a teacher, thank you.
Never been a big plantain lover but still giving a like and comment for the brother Chris for always giving us the yummy recipes!! I will try them this way to see if I like it better than fried. 🧡

Just finish boiling plantains.

Don't boil it. Steam it. That's healthier 👏
how is that healthier? (BTW I do steamed too)
Boiling or steaming is a choice. However, steaming kept the highest level of nutrients. “Boiling vegetables causes water soluble vitamins like vitamin C, B1 and folate to leach into the water. www.cnn.com>health
@@caribbeanpotBecause the Boiling requires Water Contact w Banana dissolving precious nutrients ( that are water soluble). That's why?
@@bradparmar4728 maybe that's why for 100's of years my ancestors boiled it in the skin?
@@caribbeanpot So I did not say, not to Boil. ( I just clarified the aspect of steaming) Do what you want n Enjoy it.
You can boil plaintain ? Also, can you eat plantain when when not ripened like a banana? Thank you again.
