    Are you planning a trip to Kyrgyzstan in 2017? Looking for Things to Do in Kyrgyzstan? This video and playlist could be for you!
    First World Traveller heads to Bishkek, which is the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is located in Central Asia, bordering Kazakhstan to the North, China to the East, the other Stans (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan) to the west and Afghanistan to the south (although not bordering).
    Kyrgyzstan is a brilliantly diverse country, with influences from India, China, Russia, the Middle East and more. This video details a trip to Osh Bazaar in Bishkek, which is typical of Kyrgyz bazaars, selling clothing, souvenirs and most interestingly, Kyrgyz food, from Besbarmaq, Boorsoq, Kyrgyz Naan, Plov and more.
    Also, check out the food area of Osh Bazaar, including local fruit & vegetables, flour, rice, dried fruit & nuts and spices, which together result in an amazing aroma and a great introduction to Kyrgyzstan!

    Nice video, I lived in Bishkek from 1998 to 2005. It's a great city with amazing food. You should try their famous "Gamburger" its similar to western Hamburgers but instead of the meat patty they yse shawarma meat , it's delicious.

    hi David. very nice video you did. but I think naan was not influenced by India rather it was influenced from this region to India by Babur the Mughal emperor who conquered India. his grandson built the famous Taj Mahal. So all the India dishes such as tandoori kebabs naans were influenced from this region.

    • @davidostrowski679

      Check out the Kyrgyzstan basics video, there's details of a great capsule hotel in Bishkek. In kochkor there's only really a couple of hostels on hostelworld. In bosteri I stayed in an airbnb close to the beach which was ok, ill try and find the names!

      First World Traveller thanks Sir. But I'm just looking for Bishkek. For other places like isul kul maybe I'll do jus a day trip and back to Bishkek.

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      cool, the capsule hostel is a good shout then, to be honest there aren't many tourist attractions in Bishkek itself, for osh bazaar you can just get a taxi there, very cheap. the hostel is right next to the train station (although there aren't many trains lol)

    • @davidostrowski679
      @davidostrowski679  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      oh also i'd probably plan a couple of days for lake Issyk kul depending on where you're going, the marshrutkas can take a very long time from Bishkek (maybe about 6 hours if i remember correctly, this was about a year ago so my memory is a little foggy!)

      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mughlai_cuisine The cuisine is strongly influenced by Central Asian cuisine, the region where the Turco-Mongol Mughal rulers originally hailed from, and it has in turn strongly influenced the regional cuisines of modern India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.[1]
