The city of Bishkek has a very welcoming vibe. Your wonderful vlog brings it all out. The people, the food, the markets and even the architecture. You are off to a great start in Central Asia. Thank you for taking us along for the walk. Your biggest fans, Harriet and Jim Richmond, Va.
People finally finding out Kyrgyzstan. Thats my motherland. I really love my country and we always glad to see tourists here. Welcome to Kyrgyzstan, i hope y'all had really good time here)
You guys are a globetrotting treasure. So happy to see your channel growing. 🍀 Wonderful introduction to the city and its people. I’ve never seen the dried melon before, either.
I love how the people around you were happy to see the camera and acting playful in front of it. I feel like I don't see that too often in other places you've travelled!
This was such an interesting video. I know so little about the "stans." There seemed to be a variety of cultural influences. I know next to nothing about this country, so this was so cool. Thank you!
Matt, great hearing you speak Russian, brought back memories traipsing around Bishkek speaking Russian...but I so wish you had filmed the meat market at the Osh Bazaar! I remember the meat market at the Osh bazaar for the first time in 1996, then in 2001, then again in 2010, and lastly in 2020...it never changes, and unforgettable. Hope you guys go skiing there, lay on the beach too at Karakol.
Such a big and fascinating job u have don! i really like u both, cause u have described totally in details the history of city and showed the truth atmosphere for our future guests. Thank you so much!
Being able to speak Russian must be a great asset there as a foreign tourist. I bet not many locals speak English. I enjoyed your trip to the bazaar, lots of friendly exchanges there.
In the very centre of Bishkek you will find a few English speakers, mainly younger people, but generally it is very scarce 😊 People are incredibly friendly though, even if there was a language barrier people would find a way to welcome you in 😊
Interesting city....and the food looks really exotic. I love you guys' spirit of adventure with the drink...I just had cream soda this afternoon and I laughed thinking about a sour cream soda. Wonderful video as always. 💖
I absolutely adore the two of you. You make these videos so interesting. People are the same no matter where you go. I love watching the little kids. Thanks so much for sharing your travels. They are the closest thing I will ever have to traveling abroad. 😂😂❤️❤️❤️. Safe travels.
Thank you so much Cheryl, means so much to us! Really appreciate the support ❤️❤️❤️ Totally agree, no matter where in the world, people essentially want the same things in life 😊
Another great video .I like the way you keep your commentary informative ,yet succinct ,then give us lots of video footage of the city .After watching this ,I have a good idea about what this city is like .
Thanks for another enjoyable video, good kickoff for the Central Asia series! Kudos for keeping such straight faces when testing those drinks... I'm surely glad you did not join in with the punch-up! 😉
Hahaha, we came to the conclusion they were an acquired taste 😅 We literally filmed for 5 seconds then ran the other way 😂 we weren't scared though!!! 😏😉
Congrats on the great video!!!! Loved all the humorous comments throughout. I’ve been so excited for you to go to Central Asia, can’t wait to see more. It doesn’t matter where you go, if there’s a fight a crowd always gathers! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Thank you so much Linda! Really appreciate it 😊 Can't wait to share more from this series, been really busy filming 😊 Haha, so true! "boys will be boys" as they say 😁
Nutters 😂😂 that minnie mouse was creeepy as fuuuuck. Dried melon sounds insane! I can’t even imagine, though you said it tastes like regular melon but how strange to have such a different texture!
Man, you guys stick out in that place. That would make me nervous. Thanks for showing us this unique place. I live in the U.S. and would probably never get to go here.
What a clean & organized market . Thanks for showing us. Thats how I travel too! I prefer traditional market over malls. Its like seeing a lady w/o make-up v s. a lady fully made-up . Im not also familiar those foods you're not , I wish I can taste it.
Just stumbled upon your channel and really enjoy your content. Im hooked! Looking forward to checking out past video’s 😁 Your such a lovely couple and both have such sweet natures. Im so pleased and look forward to upcoming locations! Safe travels! Enjoy yourselves! Keep smiling! 🤗❤️ Kat - USA
@@MattandJulia Fair enough, but I had to come up with a random comment to feed the algorithm and who wants to read comments that look like they are from bots. 😁
This is an indelicate question but do you guys ever have problems with your bowels from the food or water in all the places you travel? I hope not but I often wonder.
Kyrgyzstan - My first observation from your video. People out in public not wearing masks, happy, no police threatening them. Looks like a paradise compared to communist cities in the West (USA, Canada, Western Europe, and Australia).
Turkish language is spoken in Turkey, not in Kyrgyzstan. It's not turkish language, it's turkic language which is called kyrgyz. Turkish language is also turkic language. Turkic languages: uzbek, kazakh, turkish, kyrgyz, turkmen, azeri and so on. That's why you should fix your information, guys.

ı've spent 7 years there, how much i miss walking in city and mountains there...

Hey Christy! ❤️ Actually about 15% of the population in Bishkek of European descent so we stick out less than you would think 😊 You are so welcome 😊❤️

It's good of you all to scout the soviet architecture for Bald and Bankrupt. lol. Good episode.
We are sure Bald and Bankrupt has probably been all over Bishkek like a rash already to be fair 😁

I wasn't expecting Bishkek to be so modern
It's a really interesting blend between modern and ultra-Soviet architecture 😀
They've got some good things to eat over there. Worth it just for the bread.

Ah. Memories of street food and Montezuma's Revenge! :)
We can neither confirm nor deny that at least once a month 😏😁 To be honest we always try and drink bottled water everywhere 😊
We are suckers for street food though 😅
