I don’t think I’ve ever seen a four way wedge splitter, that’s pretty cool. Great review Chris and hope you have a blessed day and week ahead my friend.
Chris, I have the exact same splitter. I’ve had it about as long as you. I split 3 cords (9 face cords) each year to use to help heat the house in northern Illinois. I use IBC totes setup behind the catch table. This way I touch it once when it’s split and then next winter when I move it into the house to burn in the stove. It frustrates me when I see folks handling (by hand) their firewood many times before it’s burned. Throughout the drying season I move the totes, if necessary, with pallet forks on my tractor. Just a little tip for you… Instead of using both pins to secure the catch table I use one pin and one bolt/ lock-nut tightened up. It takes the wobble out of the table.😊 I love the splitter and also recommend it for the use you described.
That splitter is really nice Mr Chris! That log loader wood have been nice to have back in the day, but that's what is kids were for!! That motote.does run pretty smooth!! Awesome review and video, hope y'all are staying warm!! Thank you for bringing us along!! 😁😁👍👍🎄🎄🇺🇸🇺🇸
Assembly required can be exciting. I usually manage. My Mrs has absolutel confidence in my ability. I'm not always sure. Have several Honda engines around here. I've had good experiences with them. The splitter did good on the crotch. Thank you Chris.
i did a ton of splitting by hand when i was young, finally got to use a homemade splitter for a few years, now basically done with that, your splitter looks as if it's doing a great job ...enjoyed the video take care Chris, and Merry Christmas to you and family.
Looks like a pretty nice unit. Back when I heated with wood I had one of the old splitters that you tipped up to vertical. I think yours is probably faster and easier on one's back.
Good morning Chris ☕☕☕ Wood, would, 🤔 you sure said would a lot, or maybe you said wood🤔 Hondas are great!! But most of the knock offs are very good!! We've got both, the worst thing about either engines, ethanol blended fuel! If it doesn't eat up the rubber parts in the fuel system.. it corrodes the metal parts and plugs everything up🤬 That's a nice splitter 👍 About the only thing better, would be a firewood processor.. but they're kinda expensive.

It sure makes splitting faster! Thanks- you too 🙂

I would love to have a firewood processor! I wonder if any manufacturer would send me one to try out 😁 Thank you Ed!!
@@dehavenfamilyfarm lmao 😆😂 I doubt it 😥
If we still burned a lot of wood, I'd probably make something..
I prefer the option of not having to cut wood 😂😂
I would prefer that option too! Unfortunately our house is either electric or wood for heat... Thanks Andy!!
it is a lot handier than doing it by hand. The only thing more enjoyable is the skid steer mounter log splitter!
How much?
The cost of the splitter?
Yeah, I was curious about the price. Since watching your video I’ve been checking out the brand. The logsplitters seem like their priced right.
@@unclebuck5051 I would say you get a good splitter at a fair price. That was a major factor in my decision to buy one.
How come me you didn't answer the question of how much? ( The price of the splitter)@@dehavenfamilyfarm
@@stevecobb7844they have alot of options, sales offerings, and sometimes free shipping. Best guess is between $3-4k for a 22 ton model
