Excellent tips and tricks. I loved the crosshair idea. It took me a bit to get it right, but this is helpful. I am new and they help me to understand my mistakes so as not to make them again in the future. Thank you.
I find that using a cutting mat to hold the base layer flat and smooth makes layering much easier, especially when using rolled vinyl and small projects, or use double sided tape to the backing of the base layer to hold it while placing the other layers down. It is like having another pair of hands to hold the project in place.
Thank you for video, I especially appreciated the crosshairs tip. Out of curiosity, why use the “B” for your test cut instead of the “Test” button on the cut screen?
Does anyone else struggle buying designs from silhouettedesignstore via PayPal? If tried on 4 different computers (on everyone with Chrome, Firefox and Edge), I've tried like 5 time in the last 2 years and still even today I only get a I/O error from the PayPal page. Silhouettedesignstore's support keeps telling me it must be my browser. It feel ike silhouettedesignstore only wants your credit card to keep billing it for subscriptions, offering PayPal but making sure it never works. This is really sad for me. I would really like to hear if anyone else are able to buy with there PayPal accounts (which I use successfully on hundreds of other site monthly)
That was very nice and well explained.
Kelly you have such a lovely voice to listen to
Thanks for such a good tutorial. I especially liked using the crosshair design to line up the design.
Glad you liked it!

Thank you. That was great advice.
Thanks for this video! Just made my first layered project!! Excellent instructions ❤️
Kelly always has the BEST tips. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
You don't have to make intricate crosshair alignment mark. You can use a star or any pointy shape that can be easily aligned.
Thanks for the tutorial but can I ask how can I cut vinyl without registration marks?

I love this project. Where do I get hold of the butterfly?
My mum loves butterflies and I have just completed my first-ever multi-layered HTV using your excellent tutorial.🦋
Help! My circle will not go into the plus sign. It keeps going off to the side and not center over the plus.
You'd think that the alignment guide would be a pattern that is built into Studio.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll pass that along!
I don't know what I did wrong - my Silhouette Portrait 4 says Registration Failed :(

This isn't basic edition correct? Design or business edition? Thank you
Suggestion: video playback speed 1,5 otherwise you’ll nap:)))
