    I just did this exact swap on my 2004 Camry V6. I got the exact part number on eBay for $86 and exchanged the controller just as in this video. It was not necessary to re-program the ABS. Took 20 minutes to make the change

      I didn't reprogram this one.

      @@Ah_Duuu_Ma I know you didn't. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried it. Even the eBay seller I bought from warned me it would have to be reprogrammed but thank goodness I didn't. In fact, if it was not for your video, I would never have known that you could just switch out the control module. You saved me big time dollars because no mechanic I consulted offered me a logical, reasonable option.

    I know it's been a year since this video was made and not sure if you remember everything, but I like to know if you had any transmission shifting problem as result of ABS malfunction?

      ABS wouldn’t cause any problem to the transmission.

    hello. For checking power and ground on the connector, I dont have a tester like yours, I only have a multi meter. How can I test the connector like you did? I researched online but the articles have a wall of text and its too much to read and comprehend.
    Thank you

      @@kx5007 You can test power and ground with voltmeter. TH-cam it “how to test power & ground with voltmeter”. It show you step by step. Simple & Fast. Or you can buy the power prob tester like mine gen 3 $100 on amazon.

    This only works with the Bosch ABS controller. If you have a Denso then your out of luck and have to change the entire actuator.

      This is definitely a must know, I also ran into the same scenario where I got Denso instead of Bosch, best idea is to just ask the seller to provide Bosch if available. Lucky for me I was able to return to seller and exchange for a Bosch Brand Module+Pump

    I have the exact same issue with my 2004 sienna, turn on and break and ABS light are on, also speed odometer won’t work the first minute driving I am also getting the po500 code, I will inspect the communication and see if the module is bad

    I wanted to inquire about the ABS Module Programming, particularly the aspect involving the modification of code. In the video, towards the end, when you attempted to alter the code, is that referred to as programming? Thank you very much for the informative video.

      No need for programing.

    The replacement has to be the exact number part? I have the same issue but I have found the part with the first 10 digits the same but the rest are different

    • @Ah_Duuu_Ma
      @Ah_Duuu_Ma  ปีที่แล้ว

      The number part is not completely 100% exact, some is dif and this ok. As long as the module match up with the old one.

    Have you ever had any problems with the abs causing a caliper to drag ? I have a 2005 toyota camry and no one has been able to get a code so i'm replacing the abs module but i'm wondering if the abs has anything to do with my caliper sticking as I have already got new calipers but ended up with the same side sticking.

    • @Ah_Duuu_Ma
      @Ah_Duuu_Ma  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have replaced both calipers already. Then check the brake booster, if the pin and spring on the inside is worn or damage, it can cause the brakes to drag. Check that first.

      @@JerzeyPrince23 I can't pin down the exact problem for you. Take it to a shop and have them do the actual diagnostic, it could be bad electrical wires, not just the module or ecu.
