I would like to leave this message to those who think that Thailand stole Khmer dance. This kind of dance has disappeared with time and there are only sculptures in the ancient walls. This dance was created from the current understanding of people. and the aptitude of each person in the country which Thailand has studied Teaching this dance without interruption And this dance has created a new thing in the understanding of Thai people. How can Cambodian people say that Thai people steal dances? When the Apsara dance, the clothes and dance moves are not like this.😂
Sorry but Thai dances are closer to Yunan china, this is purely the serpent style of Khmer/Indian culture. It's okay to embrace it and give credit to Khmer people.

Cambodia try to claim the original of Apasra dance.. Wrong!!!! India is the true original. India culture spreaded widely through South East Asia about 1000 years ago. But Each countries has adopted and developed it diffrently. Thai Apasra has it's unique and developed by thai people. As we can see, many india style postures combined in this performance. Let's search for Cambodia Apasra then.. It is diffrent from Thai style. And for my own opinion, Thai Apasra is a higher level. FYI, Vietnam or Loas also have Apasra dance too.

The-KHMER-Empire of Cambodia=Angkorwat, Apsaras. Cambodian Apsaras. Khmer temples in Cambodia and what is now eastern Thailand. Thais were influenced by the ancient Khmers.
The description in the original video also talks about the queen being Khmer, but some Thais are denying its Khmer culture for some reason.
This dance is unique though. The choreography was created by Thai students at Khon Khaen, it seems to draw inspiration from Khmer apsara style and Indian dances in order to appear to look more Indian than the traditional Khmer apsara dance. It’s beautiful in a different way.
Because it is influenced by Indians and the dance style is supposed to be homage to Indians and the culture.
Did you forget that Pimai,Lavo,and Panom rung in Thailand were built before Nakhon Wat.And I never seen the khmer dancer can dance and create new dancing style.

Almost 70 % of Thai costume and dancing are similar to Khmer Apsara dance. The other difference are on Language, Music Style, Some Dance Style like seen on the stage. Apsara is a female spirit of the clouds and waters in Hindu and Buddhist culture. They figure prominently in the sculpture, dance, literature, and painting of many South Asian and Southeast Asian cultures. Apsara dance or Khmer Apsara Dance were originated in 7th CE because there are some evidences of Apsara dancers caving at "Sambor Prey Kok" temple in Cambodia.
