Actually this is the performance by Mahasarakam University students. The show was inspired by the legend of Pra-Nang-Sri (Sri princess) who built Sri-sa-kate city, and now become Sri-sa-kate province in Thailand.
The story telling about the celerbration after the city construction were completed. Sri Princess was the leader of dancing and the president of this celebration at that time.

The creative performance from Mahasarakam University
The main idea is to tell about the princess who are washing her hair. This dress look like Cambodia , but it is not at all because the most people in 3 provinces (ฺBuriram, Surin,Srisaket) live here since 1000 years ago and maybe we are the same blood but we were divided by the regime. The music is mixed between the Northeast and Northeast-South style , that mean their are two different culture but they mixed it good, for my opinion. Thank you.

The dress looks Cambodian because the people residing in Buriram, Surin, and Srisaket are Khmer people who were isolated by the fall of the Khmer Empire in the 15th century. The crown the princess wears is also definitely seen on the apsaras in Angkor Wat.

Just to clarify some points you made, this is a BA student’s senior project, and this was done on something like an amphithatre, but jot quite, it was a field made into the theatre

The National customs ,The Crown from Angkor Wat(Cambodia now). We know that this province before is part of Khmer Empire but now in Esan of Thailand. I mean that we are blood of Khmer.We can't change.I feel so proud when I see this show.
Maha Sarakham City is considered an important archaeological site for hundreds of years. because it has found archaeological evidence that has been influenced by Buddhism From the late Gupta and Palawa eras of India through Bagan came in the form of art in the Dvaravati period such as Kantharawijaya (Khok Phra) and Champasri, where evidence was found as a Yuen Kantharawichai. Terracotta Buddha throughout the relics In addition to that, it has also been influenced by Brahmanism. through the Khmer people In the Lopburi period, such as Ku Santarat, Ku Ban Khwao, Ku Ban Daeng and others, as well as Khmer idols and pottery, are found on the general soil surface in Maha Sarakham Province. Many tribes, such as native Thais, speak Isaan, Thai Yo, and Phu Thai. Most of the people are Buddhists. Follow the customs and traditions of "Heet Sip Song", mainly engaged in agriculture. Live a simple life, having to come and see each other. Helping to rely on each other in the style of Isan people in general I'm not Cambodian.🧐🧐☺☺
The performance shown Khmer civilization in South East Asia since there are no the nations, no Siam no Cambodia no Laos no Myanmar no Vietnam. There're only Khmer empire, Bagan, Champa, Srivijaya. The location of Thailand nowadays was the hub of marine trade and because of the territory connected with many cultures in each part of land, so that you can see many culture images and arts in Thailand now. It depends on the original people that live in, such as the most of people in north part of Esan are Lao Ethic; so the distinctive culture is Lao-Lanchang but the most of people in south part of Esan are Khmer Ethic; so the distinctive culture is Khmer. There are so many Co-culture in Thailand that many Thais still do not know their origins because it has been shaped for thousands of years.

@@CS-wq1kz why do you need to be rude? KAMBUJADESA is an ancient kingdom devided into many countries in Southeast Asia Mainland. Kambujadesa = Kambuja Pratesh or in English known as Cambodia. Kambuja were leads by Khmer-Mon speaking people.
