It's a sad story about Khmer. They got a Bayon Apsara BUT nobody know exactly how it perform because Khmer Kingdom had fall 400 years ago and was colonized by a lot of countries. Now they don't know who they are. 😔
Cambodia was under Siam for about 400-700 years. King Rama 1 of Siam (Thailand) adopted young princes and princesses and raised them in Siam till the prince grew up and was crowned to be the Cambodian king and appointed to Cambodia. During King Rama IV, another Cambodian king was crowned in Siam and appointed to Cambodia again. During that time, Siam sent the art team to Cambodia to teach them Thai Traditional Dances, KHON, and many other things. King Rama IV had the Cambodian King's palace built with Thai architecture that looks similar to the Thai temple or palace. Basically, everything in Cambodia was influenced by Thai. The Cambodian young generations don't know the true history, so they have been trying to claim that they are the original.
