Hi! You inspired me to get back into art! I just purchased alcohol based markers and purchased more prisma color. Learning proper shading techniques is an uphill battle for me, but I’m getting there 😅 thank you for posting your videos, I absolutely enjoy them
I would love to see you spin on lesser celebrated characters like ghost rider, daredevil cable or storm or even nightcrawler as amazing as you are I think it’ll be dope. But keep up the great work my dude and thank you for the content.

Arteza seems to be an amazing and pretty affordable brand overall! The only thing I've tried from them is their grey paper sketch pad and it's pretty good! Works extremely well with markers.

IMO this is the first time where it isn't even close. The stadler side looks like spiderman is being in some kind of fog or smoke, the arteza side is so much clearer and has more vibrant colors and much better coverage.
Edit - I would like to see you doing the thing, not because that's my favorite, but because that one has a different look and would be a different drawing in comparison to the ones like spiderman who are just humans wearing a costume.
Another amazing video! I love this series to see a skilled artist use cheap vs expensive products to show that artists dont need expensive materials to make something great.

Not to knock on how amazing the Arteza side is, but I actually prefer how the Stadtler looks. It gives me nostalgia for the old newspaper comics my grandma would collect for me, and then give to me a when she visited. The way you used those extra colors really brought the look to life.
I always love it when you upload, it gets me in the drawing mood.
For me it’s a tie between Magneto and Daredevil, I couldn’t choose one over the other.
I'm a faber castell man myself, I just watched because I love your videos.. also magneto hands down my favorite character in marvel.
I feel like you need to do the more expensive and not as expensive stuff
I love the comparison videos, keep em' coming! IMO, there's no comparison haha - Arteza won hands down. It would, however, be kind of cool to see a comparison of maybe a midrange product and a high end product (maybe the Arteza vs the Prismacolor or the Faber Castel). I don't think anyone's super surprised when the expensive product beats a super cheap one, and I don't think many of us entry-level artists are really debating the $30 vs the $10 product, but I think more of us would be interested in seeing the comparison from a $30 product and maybe a $50 product, those kinds of comparisons would probably be more helpful for people who're wanting to buy some new supplies - just some food for thought! Keep doing whatcha do!
Your positivity is inspiring sir. You were beyond nice when comparing the overall quality of these pencils. The Staedtler were terrible looking when compared to the Arteza pencils. It wasn't even close for me. However, because of your sheer talent, you still managed to at least make the Staedtler pencils look decent.

Really nice ! Actually the lighfastness rating means resistance to light over time. The more pluses, the more resistant it is 😊

Haven’t even watched the whole video, but love the organization of the Arteza set!!! Been a huge Spidey fan since I was a kid, but best Marvel superhero... gotta be Cap!
Finished the video... and Arteza hands down! But, ADC mentioned Prismacolor is better, so maybe a comparison video between Arteza and Prismacolor next time??? TschüB!

I also have both sets of these pencils and the Arteza are far superior. I also like to use a blending agent on larger sections where the pigment doesn't quite cover the paper
Arteza is definitly worth it more based on the price range and quality. However, for this particular piece I going with Staedler, it looks more unique and makes me think of Spidy in some kind of multiverse where everything is kinda dulled down. As usual great job, love watching your videos.
The only issue with these is the light fastness, I did some tests and some of the most lightfast colours faded in a week, so maybe not for commissions.
You should do an artiza vs prismacolor, just to see the comparison. I'm just curious how much better prismacolor really is, that's all.
Woah! I really like both sides,but the right side is so Pretty. The way that the Artzea pencils just blend with each other is just spectacular.
Also, my favorite MARVEL superhero is ...Spider-Man. It’s mostly because l can relate to him and l really like his personality
Is there a favorite coloring book company that you have used in the past? Seeing you have so much fun is inspiring to get back into coloring more and I'm clueless at this point.
Another great video. Daredevil is probably my all time favorite marvel character. As you're a Marvel fan I think it's time for a crossover, say a cheap vs expensive video featuring Howard the Duck and your very own Bob.
My favorite Marvel Hero is Ironman, and I love the Arteza Color Pencils but I am bias when it comes to Arteza. I already own their Alcohol Markers, and their Water Color Markers. You just helped me decide which color pencils I am going to buy next. As much as I like Caryola Colors, I think I will be buying the Arteza ones next.

Could you do a video on your inking process? Do you trace over your pencil image or do you ink directly on top and use an eraser to remove the stencil?
An artist can draw really good with any art product...
But if you don't practice and are not good at drawing then any expensive art product is not enough.
ADC another great video. Arteza’s soooo much better. I’ve practiced with the pencils myself as well as the markers and I love the control of them.
try smudging the staedler pencils with a tissue in a circular motion to blend them, this is good for soft coverage and you can try to layer on top.

You should spilt a drawing in More than 2 ways and use many different coloring materials
I actually really like the left side on its own without being compared to the right side. It almost makes the piece look more realistic? I’m not sure how to describe it. Also: Spider-Man is hands down the best superhero!

Such a hard question, I think I enjoy Spiderman's witty comebacks, but I think Deadpool takes the cake - he's such a badass. With Deadpool and Spiderman is just such an unusual combo in the comics.
Love it brother. The cheap pencils were good within their own arena and limitations. The blue artezas though... Wow. How about a Spiderman 2099 pic for the next cheap vs expensive vid? Good excuse to draw spiderman and a mostly blue piece.
Spider Man has always been my favorite with Bat Man a close second. I am a color pencil girl. Love my pencils. Prisma are my #1. I just got a starter set of Faber Castell 24 count. I'm learning these pencils still. Having fun with them along the way. The P.C.'s are my favorite. I do think I'll be getting me some of the Arteza a try. 72 for 30.00 is awesome. I definitely like the Arteza better! They have more pigmentation to them, They look amazing in color, and overall just look good. So I definitely go for that right side!

I don't think you can say that you were being biased with these pencils.
You can clearly see the higher pigment levels in the arteza pencils.
The two do give very different finishes though, and I really like how you worked your style to fit the pencil.
I really wanted to be critical of Arteza, but it was so difficult with what they were against, all round brilliant.

In the UK we also have the Staedtler colouring pencils (with a slightly different design, including no tri-grip :( ) and they’re like the bog standard pencils kids get for school. An American artist on TH-cam was sent some European art products by a fan to review. She really liked these pencils and the whole time I was watching the video I was just cringing, I think they’re just terrible and didn’t understand why she liked them so much.. but hey everyone’s got their preference...

I personally use Prismacolor pencils. I LOVE them! What fine liners do you use/suggest (brand and size)?
I use Prismacolor fine liners right now and am not the biggest fan. The tips go out fast.
Gambit is such an underated marvel hero. He is my favourite
I prefer the right because the other side just looks peach and the other looks like the exact red colour.
The price of the Arteza is really good for there quality, and I prefer the Arteza Side

I’ve found the same issues with the Staedtler pencils, they’re very faint and hard to blend. The Arteza are so much smoother overall
