Love your videos and your passion for watches! It's so nice to see someone that uses them as the tools that they are! This format is so cool, in the outdoors, taking pictures and talking about watches! Would've been awesome and a nice bonus to see some of the shots you took on that trip :)
Thank you very much, I try to feature some of the photographs I have captured on these adventures. Check out some of my other videos, they have more with the photograph side, th-cam.com/video/alTj-cb2oKI/w-d-xo.html Cheers
YES! Another epic vid!
And what beautiful shots.
Great to see that beauty on its bracelet and back on your wrist.
Enjoy.
Cheers!
@@cheynewalls Also, there no need to buy another field watch.
That Explorer 2 was designed to take the extremes of heat and cold environments, magnetic fields and shocks.
It would have had pressure checks done in its recent service. It’s good to go for another decade.
Show it no mercy.
It can handle it.
Best Rolex to actually wear daily 👌
Get the FXD!
Cheers
Wonderful video, thank you! Enjoy your camping!
Thank you, Cheers
Two years on the AD list at 4 different ADs. Nothing yet. I’m willing to wait for that Polar however long it takes to actually get it from an AD. I’m confident that I’ll get 4 calls in the same week 😂
It is worth the wait, hopefully "the call" will come soon.
Great video man and the explorer II is an amazing watch!
Thank you, Indeed an amazing watch. Cheers
Beautiful work, Cheyne! (On the "list" for my own Explorer 2 Polar)
Thank you, its a great watch. Could you keep me posted on your wait time? Interested to know, Cheers
@@cheynewalls 👍
awesome video, very much enjoyed watching it!
Cheers
great video! talking about a watch in the real world.. keep it up!
Cheers, same type of video with Rolex Submariner coming out next week
Yes- other watches could get you the proper exposure, but you are getting your exposures ELEGANTLY with a Rolex Polar Explorer II 👍
My guess would be the Seiko Prospex for your next watch.
Cheers
Hands down best E2 review I’ve seen. Yes, this is what a tool watch is designed for! I got the Tudor Ranger (Tudor’s take on the E1) for similar reasons, which most desk- and coffeeshop reviewers consider boring. But when I’m out camping/hiking/xc skiing, I couldn’t care less :) E2 looks great on you (wrist size?).
Cheers, Thank you. Indeed great tool watches. Just under 7 inches, 18.5cm
Just want to say cheers 🍻
Cheers
Hey, can you tell me where you got the leather strap for this watch you’ve worn it on?
I have always questioned this about the Explorer II: If it’s a watch designed for outdoors, wouldn’t it be better to have a more resistant bezel like a ceramic rather than that one which can get scratched much easily? Just wondering 🤷🏻♂️
Well I love seeing it all scratched up. But to answer your question, Yes ceramic is a lot more resistant to scratches, but isn't nearly as strong as metal. The Rolex Explorer II may get all scratched up but its metal bezel will not crack or break, where ceramic might if you hit it hard enough.
I got the black dial, there's something about black and orange that hits home with me. Sometimes the steel bezel gets to me tho, did you get any dings or deep scratches on the watch?
Love the black dial, Yeah my watch is pretty scratched up. The textured bezel hides the scratches and dings pretty well, but very noticeable on the polished areas of the watch.
Great content!! How big is your wrist if I can ask?
Thank you, just under 7 inches, 17.5cm
@@cheynewalls awesome. Same as me! Helps a lot!
Sounds like le sub is comming.
Good Guess, We will have to see, those videos will be coming out in about a mouth. Cheers
Rolex is great. At making one thing. TOOL WATCHES. Not old money watches like patek, not fashiony watches for fashion shows and red carpets. in the golden period of 1950-2000, daytona was worn by racing drivers, in high adrenaline enviroment. Nowadays you only see daytona when a musician or a player is giving an interview. Rolex has gone from a tool to a status symbol, and they were never made to be that. A submariner's place is not with a suit and a tie. Tis is why rolex sucks now. Its not that they are bad watches, its that they are used wrong
Doing my best to show they are still great tool watches.
