    Had this set up for over 2 years. Never had any issues. Spring never came out. Metal on metal never had an issue. Ride was okay. 4Runner has been sold now.

    So theres nothing bolting down the springs? That's sketchy AF.

      Theres no possible way this spring would move. The tension holding it in place is just too great.

    I hope you eventually ran some heater hose on the ends of the coils. It’ll keep it quieter.

    Such a nice runner to not have it done the right way even just add a 2” block on the rear still would be less then a Benjamin

    2 questions
    How much lift did you get?
    How is the ride quality after the installation?

    • @ziptieracingteam9805
      @ziptieracingteam9805 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did this to my 86 runner about 3 years ago. I used 14 inch springs and got about 2 inches of lift. Ride quality is terrible, very springy. I added OME struts to slow down the bounce back. Otherwise it works great.

    Cheapest? Yes. Smartest? Absolutely not. Your truck is sagging because your leaf springs are worn out. Ever heard the term spring rate? Every vehicles springs have a rate of resistance that correlates with the weight of the vehicle. This is the best way to destroy the handling and ride quality as well as making an unsafe condition by 1. Putting stress on a worn out spring 2. Placing a coil in a place that’s not designed for it. Spend the $200 on new leafs and do it right.

      Wtf.. did I just see..? What's next? Cheap 4" drop by removing your tires?

    • @rescuegarage7602
      @rescuegarage7602  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It worked for 2 years. Trails and all. Sure there’s better ways. But it worked.

  • @jeffrowlett7503

    Rather JACKOFF a wildcat than do that mod, Cheap yes, can't argue with that but if someone doesn't say it affects the ride had been in quarantine too Dumb long.
    no typo
