If you’re in the lower mid west or the south with high heat and humidity it’s a must. And for really only 250$ and very little “work” it’s great for these trucks! Glad you enjoyed appreciate the feedback
Looks like the compressor linked is a single row vs the OEM double row condenser. Is the parallel flow efficient enough to cool the 4runner, making double row unnecessary?
Great video. Thanks
Thank you for watching!
I'm planning on doing some similar upgrades on my '87 before it gets too hot out. Thanks for the great, informative video!

Been looking for a video like this! Super knowledgeable man worth a follow I have the same rig and will be doing a lot of upgrades like yours!
Glad we could be helpful for you these rigs are awesome!
Killer rig mate and great info! You’ve got yourself a new subscriber from Australia 🇦🇺 👍
🍻 thanks! I always appreciate the Australian builds!
Bike looks good too
Thanks makes the 4runner look like it’s ready for adventure!
I’ve seized a 22RE AC compressor when I installed the retrofit but didn’t remove the old schrader valves.
It’s easy to forget… thanks for sharing
What was your psi on the low and high? That wouldve been great to know
It depends on the Ambient temperature when you charge your System. You can google an R134 chart and find specs
Very informative, thank you for the video. I'm wondering if there's a need to swap the txv also with the new refrigerant?
Thanks for watching! No it won’t hurt it any to leave it alone as long as it was previously functioning fine
Anyone knows what to drill the firewall for the holes for the lines to if installing an oem an ac system into the 84/88&89 pickup 4runner?
I am pretty sure the small line is a 3/4" hole and the big line is like a 1-1/4" hole. But you can always just start small and work your way up?
1" and 1 1/4
I also have hardlines and various ac parts for these trucks. I just installed ac in mine
@@BraddaMarlon right on!
Looks like you had to add a line running across the front of the condenser? Do you have a part number for that?
No it’s all factory lines!
Is the 3vze a similar swap to the 22re. Is there anything i should know before hand?
Check out the Toyota swap pages on Facebook they have really in-depth write ups
No. The 3rze is more similar to the 3RZ-FE. I got rid of my 3.0 and I went with 3rz-fe and all the fitting and hoses match perfectly.

It’s way better we explain that at the end of the video. Just modern technology
Really enjoying your channel. I have an 88 4Runner. Where did you source those LED headlights?
Thanks for the feed back! I got them on Amazon.
