Behind the Build | 1986 Toyota 4-Runner

For the release of 16-year-old pro skater CJ Collins' 90's inspired Volcom "Liberation Cont'd" Collection, Remy Stratton built out a 1986 1st generation Toyota 4-Runner to take CJ to some spots that were Truly off-road! Here's what went behind the build.

How much did the whole build cost

Here's a quick estimation off the top of my head. Truck 6k+/- , Total chaos 2k, wheels tires 1200, bumper/sliders 1k, winch 1k, springs 500, LCE motor depending on options 2-3k, Diffs front and rear 1k, fenders 500, probably 2500 for the king shocks, 500 for the PRP seats. Rigid lights 500. speaker system 1k? Misc 1k.... So If you buy all these parts you're probably looking at 20 thousand.. EASILY. Could be cheaper depending on the price of the truck you start with and also having 100% accurate prices but those are close. Now that's just for parts. Labor is a whole other story if you can't do it all yourself. Also most of these parts were probably discounted heavily because sponsors and the fact Volcom is a large brand. Their cost vs an average Joe's is going to be rather different.
