it's like they saw trackmania and micromachines and decided, 20 years later, to make the goddamn ultimate LAN game. all the good ideas are there, but it's been designed by someone who's over a decade late on tech, somehow.
not suprising considering how quality die cast cars have practically dissapeared from stores compared to my childhood.
the cheap stuff, tied to a rocket was pretty fun, however.

This reminds me of that ps2 micro machines racing game I had as a kid where you'd race on a table dodging butter dishes and spoons, or like on the floor of a kids room with toys strewn about. Great fun.
Man I really loved that game, but the top-down view was really ass... Pretty much had to know the maps to be able to beat the AI, especially when driving the F1-car.

Oh yes. The best series in Hotwheels. It was the series which really made people in my country attracted into Hotwheels, because "Sunday morning cartoons" was still a thing, the tuner cars culture at the time was popular in my country and Hotwheels Acceleracers nailed it all. Even when I was a child in that era, who still played NFS2 SE on Pentium III 750 MHz PC in mid 2000s.. I could imagine a game based on Acceleracers, it would be cool with its storyline, power ups (Accelechargers), a game changer vehicle add-on (Hyperpods), cool tracks (like the Swamp Realm).

I remember had like, three hot wheels tracks when I was a kid and I connected all three for a big epic track and I LOVED IT
Edit: I still have two of them, they just don’t work anymore, one was like a Jurassic jungle, with a skeleton shark that would try to eat your car, the other was some futuristic battle between two robots where you’d activate one of the robots with your car to shoot the other robot, it was awesome
