Fortnite horror maps are the funniest thing. Exploring a haunted forest, barely able to see anything...and then you see Darth Vader hitting the nastiest griddy you've ever seen.
I _really_ hated this season when it started, but it’s definitely grown on me, especially after they fixed the movement speed and removed some of the snow on the map. This season was the first season I started playing Ranked, too, because I got tired of fighting bots. I was an unranked Zero Build player before this season, but now I’m Elite rank in builds. Epic cooked with this season.
Honestly, this title makes me want to speak on this. I’m not really a fortnight player anymore nor do I do many battle royals (their not really for me), but I think whether you like the game or not, the impact or longevity of this game has to admired. Like Fortnite came in, literally changed a huge chunk of the gaming world, it wasn’t the first but it certainly shot battle royals into the stratosphere in popularity of genres. Like the longevity of games like Fortnite and Minecraft should be studied, cause you can say it’s just a kids game, but other games before and after have tried the same strategy and failed miserably. So the actual fact they’ve been able to keep the ball rolling upwards after so many years is genuinely impressive.
Have they though? I have no idea how it's doing financially (although with all those skins and the target demographic I can guess), but considering the amount of bots they seemigly need to fill lobbies it doesn't exactly seem to be doing very well...
