    That's the thickest strip bait I've ever seen. Good teaching the strip rigging.

    Great job Professor! I really like the way you describe what your doing and the camera angles so we can see what your hands are doing without them getting in the way. Just good instructions without a bunch of loud music like so many wanna be’s use. I bet Heath has a good demo how to Cut up those Bonita Strips!

      Thanks a million for watching again and again. Makes all the effort and sleepless night, 1000% completely worthwhile. Yes, I do have a bonito strip episode. Thanks for understanding the intent of this channel... To share, to have a good time, and make it so everyone can get out there and get into the bite. Thanks again for all your support. Tight lines & take care ;)

    Great rig and tips, Yes sir always good to have Bonita backed up in our freezer. Good luck out there this weekend and I hope this wind settles down for us.

      Hey Robert, thanks for watchin' and supportin'. Correct, when the full grown bobo's come in thick in the late summer, I stock up... got shark bait and strips for the remainder of the year... The little bullet bonito are swimming around now, so I'm gonna target them and troll them live. Let me know if you are ever heading south, maybe we can collaborate on something. Until next time, take it easy and tight lines.

    Hi Heath, great info on the Sea Witch. Send some of your Florida fish to NJ and I'll try a Sea Witch. The fall Striped Bass and Blue Fish migration is getting under way up here. Thanks, Mickey

      Hey Mickey, so, being from down here, I love Blue fish, they are rare and the season is short and they are small. Regardless, I devour them. They other day I did try to give a northbound push to the fish, but I don't think it worked. Thanks a bazillion for watching and supporting, hopefully one day we'll run into each other. Stay warm and take care.
      Heath-

      Hi Heath, The Blue Fish up here are a little different than your fish. Our fish don't taste very good but they are fun to catch. I really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks, Mickey

      John, Thanks a boat load for watching. Did this tutorial to showcase a highly used rig, all the charter boat captains use it, also the kingfish are about to start heading north past us, so having this in your arsenal is only a plus. I truly appreciate your support and feedback. Until next time, tight lines.

      Dang it... I thought I was onto something, guess it's back to the drawing board... I'm seriously ready to get offshore. The girls wanna hook into a sailfish, so I guess I'm gonna shoot for that if the conditions are right. That would be epic.

      Thanks for supporting the channel. I look up sea striker lures online... they aren't called sea witches though when u find them... sea striker calls them ballyhoo dusters. Hope this helps

    Do they come in different weights?

    • @SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing
      @SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they come in different weights, but they are not very heavy... 1/4 to 3/8 ounce at most... If you want to fish the water column, use a planer with an 80 foot leader.

    Robert - ever tried the fake holographic strips? Thoughts?

    • @SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing
      @SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching and asking a great question. Yes, I have tried the fake strips with no luck... I even soaked them in menhaden oil and still nothing. I believe the issue is when light passes through the lure it creates a spectrum ray which spooks fish, the same thing that happens when you touch bait or your line with sunscreen on your hands. That's my take on it. Hope this helps. Take care & tight lines :)
