Whats up heath! Nice video's. The fam n i moved down from Pennsylvania a couple years ago and i started to get into saltwater fishing. Linked up with sean one day and he told me about your channel. All your videos gave me a nice boost of knowledge and helped me with my set up. Muchos gracias hefe. 😉. Always learned a lot from you. Glad to see you n the fam are doin good n having fun. 😊.
Hey Ryan, great to hear from you. Hope all is well. Glad I could help with your fishing setup. Florida VS Pennsylvania, I'm sure you won't miss the winter. Thanks again for reaching out, take care.
Hi Heath, Another great "How to" video. It's your tips like this that makes your channel different than all the other fishing videos. Watching someone catch a fish is nice, but how they caught the fish is the difference. Say "Hi" to the Crew and have fun, Mickey
Hi Mickey, thanks a million. That's kinda the point of why I made the channel. To show everyone, the secrets of fishing so everyone can have some fun. I'm not a chick in a bikini with a fishing pole in my hand... So I gotta keep it real and down-to-earth. Everyone is good here, hope the same up in Palm Bay. Talk to you soon. Take care.
Hi Heath, I don't think your subscribers want to see you in a bikini. You're doing just fine with the technical aspects of fishing. I don't watch Darcizzle. Take care, Mickey
its a great vid, I too rig hundreds a year. I like the smaller black rubber bands people use for hair braids and dread locks. They're cheaper and stronger and look cleaner with less rubber. It will make them less bulky, although if your putting a lure head over it it doesn't matter anyways
Almost did it right heath. If you're wondering why your weight is kinda hanging out of the fish and the pin isn't going straight up, it's because you have your pin coming out of the back of the crimp. Having your pin come out of the front of the crimp will make a big difference. Your hook placement was good, and you prepped it right, although I like to cut the pec fins off. I rig way over 1000 ballyhoo per summer, so I have some experience doing these things.
Another great video Heath! I use pretty much the same rig for Tuna, but use bait springs instead of the rubber band. Your explanation of how to make the rig was simple and spot on👍
Thank you sensei. Always good, practical knowledge. Can you do mullet next? Would love to see that. Tell big guy I said What's up. Also, people watch these big time anglers catchin monsters but they don't realize that they take a couple days to make all the content and wear the same clothes and all that crap before editting a real nice video to say they caught that in an hour. You go out hit a couple fish and done. Keep on keeping it real.😎
You're some what correct. But then again, sometimes the fish won't hit artificials. There are ways to rig it with double hooks, I have a video on that also.
@@SouthFloridaSaltwaterFishingI watched it thank you! Incidentally, I have been trolling with double circle hook rigs (ballyhoo)that I’ve been working really good in Baja. My hookup rate went way up from J hooks. One small circle hook in the head and larger circle hook towards the tail. Thanks for the videos I’m enjoying your channel and learning
Glad I found your channel! You are becoming my goto guy for learning how you do things over there in Florida.
What an absolutely terrific video , very informative and very detailed

Thank you Heath! Great work on your channel.
Great video again. Why do you remove the eyes please ?
It swims better and helps it to stay upright when being trolled without eyes
great instruction

It seems like the back half of the ballyhoo gets bitten off more than anything, is this your experience?

nice video
How fast do you troll this rig?
I typically troll these around 7 mph over the ground (GPS speed)... they're good enough for and won't wash out at that speed
