    I put em on today in an electronic shop, I was just there smiling. All the noise was gone. And I don't mean that it got a bit more silent, it is _gone_ ! Like literally not recognisable. It was this very moment that I decided to not get a new phone, but get some really good headphones. Can't wait to buy em

    • @oDiProductions

      That's an awesome story! And great choice, I would choose premium headphones over new phone any day of the week.

      Max This is exactly how I felt! I've sensitive hearing and I tried these on in the mall. I was immediately met with relief and even euphoria. The noise disappeared, and I smiled so wide without even noticing it until seconds later. Such a peaceful moment. Needless to say, I saved up money and purchased them right away. :) Best investment I have ever made. Public is now less daunting.

    I found a pair of Bose QC 35's in silver at the local Goodwill Outlet store where everything is sold as is, which means you are taking a chance buying electronics. I think I paid about $2 for them. I replaced the ear pads and charged them up and they work perfect. I went back to the same outlet store about a month later and found a set of Bose QC 35 II's in black. With the exception of the ear pads wore out, they looked like new. Put new ear pads on them and they work perfect.

      You still need to use the battery if you want the active noise canceling, but if you don't turn them on they function as regular headphones without using any power.

    Very nice review. Would you suggest Bose QC35 or V Moda wireless?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! Ooh tough call. They're both really great and pretty much at the top of the class for wireless headphones. I would say it boils down to music preference and how important noise-canceling is to you. If you like bass-heavy music, then the V-Modas have superior bass response. If you travel often, then the noise-cancelation and comfort of the QC35 is unparalleled.

    • @kyshark1
      @kyshark1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ODi Productions thanks a lot for your inputs. Really appreciated. Since I already have AT M50, which is quite neutral (and I love my M50) I was hoping to get a bass heavy headphone as my next pair. I'm inclined towards Bose just wasn't sure if the bass was good enough or not. Also its incredibly hard to find V Moda to try on before purchasing.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok if bass is the focus then V-Moda M100 all the way. The Bose doesn't have as much punch and impact as the M100s. If you really want a TON of bass, there's also the Sony XB950BT which is a fun headphone with Bluetooth as well.

  • @kebas239
    @kebas239 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    One word of warning if you're thinking of purchasing these headphones; The rechargeable battery is not user replaceable and BOSE currently does not offer an option to replace them. Being that the battery will eventually die, you may be stuck with basic functionality unless something is opened up by BOSE or aftermarket solutions are offered. Some may not mind the potential limitation if you replace your headphones every 3 or 4 years, but I tend to keep mine for a long time (The pair I'm using is 10 years old, and the only reason I'm buying a new pair is because of noisy neighbors). This is a big part of the reason I went for the now heavily discounted QC25's. Good luck!

    Hi,
    I believe a lot of people want to use phones like this with laptop. And I believe this way of usage is not covered in this review. Could you please test and share your experience about next issues?
    - how these headphones pairs with laptop (including case when phones are off and then on, while laptop is on)?
    - what is experience of usage of headphones with such apps on a laptop as Skype, Hangouts etc? (some Bluetooth headsets turn into mono low quality mode, but how about these ones?)
    - what is the Bluetooth range when using with laptop?
    - in case of wired connection, will mic work in case of connecting to laptop?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hey mate, you have talked indirectly about the ear fatigue..... from next videos please make sure you make some very straight comments about ear fatigue and how many hours we can listen before the ear fatigue kicks in, while comparing headphones or reviewing. This is one of the most important feature buyers are looking for when, they are investing second time after using beats or any other headphone in the market. I hope you take it as a suggestion ... thank you

    I just bought these, and I feel like I'm the only one who feels uncomfortable when using this active noise cancellation technology. It feels like there is a pressure on my eardrums. It feels like I'm on an airplane and my ears need to pop. After wearing these for a couple hours my ears actually did pop several times when I took them off and yawned. It can be quite uncomfortable when the ANC is on but I'm not actually listening to any music. Why am I not seeing this mentioned anywhere? Is it just me?

    Hey good Video! But I didn't get this clear: Is there a sound difference to the QC25s? First you said it would be identical and afterwards you said the QC35s have enhanced bass. And the NC: Are there differences? Just wondering if upgrading to the 35s is worth the money when it comes to sound. :)

  • @M3ntalbug

    My only complaint is that they day when the battery is dead and won't charge anymore, you can't just buy a new battery, you have to trash the headphones and buy brand new ones instead.
    Any idea how many years the battery is supposed to work?
    The sealed battery is a pretty bad case of planned obsolescence in my humble opinion.

  • @josephdragan7734

    Glad to hear that with care these Bose 35s can last for years. So what is cost of battery replacement when they wear down? I have been led to understand that after 12 months if the batteries need replacement you are out of luck. Is this true?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't comment on battery replacement because the QC35 is still so new that they aren't getting replaced yet. With that said, as long as the battery isn't defective (which would fail within the first few months), the rechargeable batteries of today will last the lifetime of the headphones. I think many people are too concerned with the battery when literally every other premium device is rechargeable these days.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and just to clarify, when I say "lifetime" I mean if the average person keeps a pair for 3-5 years or so. Obviously not forever lol

    • @josephdragan7734
      @josephdragan7734 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      So for the record and to clarify Bose will replace the battery if it starts to fail within the 3 to 5 year lifetime. But how much will it cost after that time expires?

    Your review convinced me to check out the Bose QC35 today. I've owned the original QC15 for almost 6 years and they still run like new. Durability considering they look flimsy has been AMAZING. The cord is the biggest nuisance so I'm really excited about checking the wireless functionality. Also curious about the sound quality improvement between the QC15 and QC35.

      Honestly nobody can say for sure. All QC35 will be under warranty for the next year so if anything malfunctions then they'll replace it. After the warranty expires, not sure but there may be solutions in the future.

    Thanks, just ordered mine today for delivery tomorrow. How are they for phone calls, especially for the person at the other end ? I hope they are good since that's my no.1 use case for Bluetooth headphones, given that my job requires me to constantly converse on the phone while on the go.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The voice quality is crystal clear from my experience. Bose employs some noise-reduction for the microphone, the same technology they use for noise-cancellation inside the earcups. You should find the quality to be decent.

    • @jkmani
      @jkmani 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      OK. Have been using mine for a week now. I'm no audiophile, so sound quality etc is OK. Mic is great too for calls, which is my main use-case. Noise cancellation is excellent, though it can be a little unnerving at times because of the (slight) pressure it creates. My biggest gripe is comfort - even after a few mins of continuous use, my ears pain to the extent that I have to constantly keep shifting the headphones' position. And this when I don't have my glasses on. When I do have them on, its even worse. 😭 In 2 minds whether to return it or not. 🤔

  • @nmvideos5003
    @nmvideos5003 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey friends i purchased and tried finally. I was so curious about If I buy a cable with control buttons what happens. Because the original cable has no button and if you use original cable, you can't use microphone on headphones. The good news is you can use a cable with mic and volume control (--of course you have to select Android or ios control and one jack 2,5 mm and other 3,5 mm--). With cable you can use your BOSE with ANC or passive mode. So you expose less radiation :) For example I use Sennheiser Urbinate XL android cable and Bose qc35 headphones together. Sometimes I use my Bose wirelessly but I use my headphones with cable especially in a long period usage.

    Absolutely great review! Thank you. How would you compare this to Beyerdynamic T51i?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate that so much! I can't comment on the Beyerdynamics as I've never used them but they are a high-quality brand as well. The main difference I'm seeing is that the Bose QC35 is much more feature-rich, with Bluetooth wireless and active noise-cancellation; The Beyerdynamics have neither. Also the T51i's are on-ear so they won't cover your entire ear, which affects comfort.

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty tough call. If you're into more bass-heavy music then I would go with the V-Modas. I think the V-Modas have better overall sound quality, but definitely not as comfortable. You can check out my V-Moda review here (wired version): th-cam.com/video/SCWxEP_Fv84/w-d-xo.html

    • @Distefano5

      ***** I like more neutral sound and sound stage is in my priorities. My brother has the QC 25, it sound a bit bright and lacks depth in active mode but the noise cancelation is the best. I saw your review already which made me even more confused since both are great. Which one has more neutral and better sound stage between these two?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly neutrality goes to Bose, and soundstaging goes to V-Moda but neither is particularly excellent in soundstaging. My experience with the modified XL Cushions, is that the V-Modas have great depth, but width is a little narrow. Of course, the best soundstage is heard through open-back headphones, so I consider the V-Modas impressive for a closed-back pair.

    • @Distefano5
      @Distefano5 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I already have the HD 650 for a better soundstage and more accurate sound. I was asking for more casual everyday use. Looks like i'll go with the V moda since i'm already not very impressed with the sound in QC 25. Thanks a lot for the help.

  • @DCCENTRAL1FOX

    Great sound. Unable to charge and have bluetooth on at the same time. Workaround is to use the auxiliary line provided so you listen to music while charging. Note: sound cancellation feature deactivates while in charging state. QC35 corporates well with foam ear plugs to completely cut out external sound while trying to listen to music and study in a noisy environment. Consider getting extended warranty.

      These are just like the iPhone or any other device that has a "built in battery". They don't want you to be able to replace it, rather to buy a whole new unit as the replacement! BS! But, just like everything else, third parties will sooner or later offer a replacement battery and there will be a TH-cam video to show you how to replace it.

    You know I always wondered about wireless Bluetooth headphones. Would it be possible for someone to hack into your signal from your phone to listen to your music? I hardly think it's possible, not to mention why anybody would have any purpose to do that. But, what I am curious is can two people listen to the same music in two different headphones? Can you connect to two different Bluetooth signals from your phone?

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you need a device called a "Bluetooth splitter" to connect to 2 devices at once. By default I don't think it's possible, but I never tried it myself.

    I wish that they were $350. Here in Canada, they are almost $450! I just paid $330 for the QC25 and not sure if it's worth the extra $120 for the wireless feature if I decide to trade them in.

    • @oDiProductions

      I think that the momentums have more bass, so since you listen to rock and rap that would be better for you. Personally Im buying the qc35, Ive wanted the soundlinks 2 for quite a while now, but now that they made the qc35 its like a gift from the heavens from me. I think both are excellent headphones and you would be satisfied with both of them :)

    Since you also reviewed Sennheiser momentum 2.0, how's the sound quality of Bose compared to Sennheiser

    • @oDiProductions
      @oDiProductions  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree with Gavin's comments. I think the Sennheiser has better overall sound quality, with inferior noise-canceling and comfort. The Senns aren't uncomfortable though, I find them pretty comfy as well. But noise-canceling is Bose's game

    • @sajida7305

      I have the momentum 2 wireless and the only difference with wired momentum is none, except that when wired, the headphones is passive mode. The ANC in momentum wireless is only active in wireless mode. If it is wired it exactly sound like the non blue tooth momentum...so the comparison still stand.

      I would say these are an exception. Just to clarify, these are made of a composite "glass-filled nylon" which is just marketing lingo for "it's only 70% plastic" lol. Before reviewing the 35, I owned the QC25 for quite a while and they still feel solid. Just make sure to take care of them.

      @oDiProductions  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, not at all. In fact, depending on the quality of your source, the QC35 might even sound better than the QC25... But if your source is good, then I find the sound quality to be pretty close regardless
