I like the fact that you've compared them to the headphones people may have already owned for many years . Too many other reviews comparing ALL the latest models together . Not all of us buy headphones every other week
Glad it was useful! Now that I've got the Bose AND the AirPods Max - I may never buy headphones again! I have a pair of Bose QC (wired) that are still going strong after 10 years...
As I’m watching this video today, my Bose QC 35II that I’ve owned proudly for 4 years, which survived my warranty, just stopped working. I’m looking at the Apple AirPods Max right now as an option. Still deciding, but looks like a good deal.
Using my Bose Q35 since 2016!! it's hard to believe they are still working just fine, using them weekly since then and it's just as good as it gets, once you buy them you won't change to other ones.
I returned the Air Pod Max even though I loved the style and ease with iOS iPad and phone. The clamping pressure caused me jaw pain and gave me a headache. I just pre-ordered the QC45 that retains its iconic style and physical buttons. They added USBC, aware mode (transparency mode) and a dedicated voice assistant button. They are foldable and battery lasts for 24 hours which is great for long flights. I have Air Pod Pros and enjoy them for convenience and surprisingly good sound quality and noise cancellation.
I returned mine for similar reasons. I had the jaw/ headaches and also strain through my neck. Miss the sound quality and transparency mode. Other than that, I am good with my QC 35's and AirPods.
@@87oceanwave A lot of reasons! Primary because of too much treble. Sometimes my eardrums eve hurt because of too much treble the produce. They are good only for acoustic listening, interviews, podcasts - for this the are great. In some movies they can also deliver very detailed sound, but again when it comes to high frequencies I had to literally bring volume to 20% so survive that particular episode because it caused to much pain for the eardrums. So when you have this issue then you start thinking why to keep them? They are to gently to carry them around, too heavy, case is pure crap, you cannot shut them down until put them in crap-case - and all this for $600. I bought myself a new pair of Bose QC35 II and truly enjoy the way they sound for $250. Again, for me it was not about the money, it's what you re getting in return. And I think there is more value in Bose 35 II for $250 than in Apple Airpods for $600. I ve been testing them for 3 weeks and still returned them
Thanks very informative. We are an Apple family me more than rest of my family. My wife has a pair of Quiet Comfort 35 and has had them a very long time. Uses them daily and now they are malfunctioning. She wants a new set for Christmas and I thought about the Apple Max but she has very small ears and she is of small stature. She has loved her Boses so guess will go back with them.
Awesome review. I own the QC35 and have had them for a few years now. Absolutely love them. Was contemplating going to the Max as I also have the AirPod Pro’s which I also love by the way. Your review saved me from buying the Max. I’ll stick with the tried and true QC35’s for travel. Now I need to try the Pro’s out on a plane. Haven’t done that as I love the QC35’s for that but after watching your review, I have to give it a go. Thank you Sir!
I suggest you listen and compare for yourself. I have both and the Airpods Max are clearly and noticeably better sounding. Not sure about this guy’s hearing.
Owning the Bose I will say the clamp pressure is quite low and the cups do get warm on the ears. Also 3 levels of noise cancellation is a nice feature. Enjoyed the video.
Gracias por compartir tu experiencia. Actualmente uso el audífono de Bosé QC II, y pensaba cambiar al AirPods Max, pero creo eso tendrá que esperar haber que mejoras implementan en la 2da generación de Apple.
Very solid review, loved that you went right to compare the most important things about both, other channels like to decorate sometimes too much their videos, so this was informative, concrete and very well delivered! Subscribed 👌
I got my QC 35 in 2019. I have been using them daily since then. Changed earpads in 2022 and still going strong. Picked up APM during 4th July walmart sale. They are good but not 400$ good over my Bose. Definitely not worth 550$. They also have some disadvantages over my bose. They are heavy and hard to fit in the bag. Also bose has much better case. I am thinking of returning the APM even I got them for around 400$. I think they should be worth for under 300$ in 2024.
The integration with apple devices is very tempting! And I agree with you the transparency mode is awesome! Currently I have the Bose QC35II and I love it, I don’t know it is time to update my headphones with AirPods Max! By the way great video.
The QC 35IIs are much better than the NC700s. Even my trusty old Sony WH-1000XM3s perform well. Watching this on my Air Pods Max ... also acquired the older red coloured leather Parrot Zik 3.0s. Air Pods Pro are very convenient and more compact than the Sony WFs
I have airpopdpro 2 and my Bose headphone snapped apart after many years of use. I listen to Apple Music watch appletv+ and listen to TH-cam reviews. Maybe I'll just keep using the white sticks and not buy another pair of Bose headphones. Maybe Apple will update theirs to include a cord for wired listening. Thanks for the video!
Nice review! Thank you! Is it possible to use Dolby Atmos and Lossless Audio via cable (of course not via Bluetooth) ? The “new” Apple Music offer delivers Lossless Audio and you can turn on Dolby Atmos in the iOS settings “always on” Any experiences out there , especially with the Bose? Thanks 🙏🏻
Thanks for the review. Just a question. What about the performance of Bose QC35 II with macbook? I mean, is there any way to adjust self-voice or other configurations without the phone app? How good is Bose QC35 II in videoconferencing through macbook? Mic quality? Thanks!

If you’re after great ANC headphones I absolutely recommend the qc35 ii, airpod pros were great but expensive for earphones so less bang for buck, also can connect the Bose to multiple devices simultaneously such as iPad and mobile which is a cool feature. Hope that helps
You mentioned “conference calls” towards the end of your review. You failed to review how these work on calls. My Bose QC 35 are terrible for calls because I can not hear myself speaking very well. Many of us use headphones for calls. This should be addressed.
Transparency modes makes these OK for conference calls. I flat out can't use the Bose for conference calls - because I find myself shouting too much. It's exhausting. Transparency mode on the AirPods Max makes it much, much better - but remember there is still some "passive noise canceling" and honestly for LONG calls I prefer to just use speakers/mic on the computer (which obviously only works if you are in a quiet location).
