Quick video on what to check for when diagnosing a coolant leak on your exhaust manofold on your RDX. O-ring part number from Honda 91316-PHM-003 #acurardx #diy
You got lucky. MIne just developed a leak from the coolant fitting that is underneat that pipe (the 90*) fitting. Apparently the fitting is press fit into the aluminum manifold and after years of heat cycling mine worked its way loose. I took me 5 hours but I blocked it off by tappig it and threading a bolt into it since it only provices cooalnt to the throttle body. Bitch of a job that was.
Hi, so you screwed a bolt in place of the fitting, also blocked off the hose end ? Any issues that you encounter? Those use to heat up throttle body... Thank you for your help!
I have the identical problem but I can't find that pipe anywhere. You replaced it, would you happen to be able to point me in the right direction for getting that exact pipe replaced?

Good find! I just bought a gen 1 rdx and it has a coolant leak from that area. Hoping it isn't a head gasket
Good luck! I'd start looking here for sure.

What year RDX do you have?
@@mike85958 I have a 2007 Acura RDX
It's turbo and fully loaded...at least for me. Lol
Excellent explanation thank you 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
I have a 2008 RDX, and there is a coolant leak. I'm really hoping that's the case.
Good luck, these RDXs are reliable for the most part but hoses and orings definitely get brittle and crack due to age.
do you have a part number for the hose and hose clamp for the left side?
Is this repair possible without removing the exhaust manifold?
It's doable, but there are many parts you need to remove to get to it such as the Intercooler, Intercooler bracket, and a few lines.
Where did you get your O-ring from? Did you order direct from Honda?
I ordered it from Acura online store acura.bernardiparts.com/
@@mike85958 Thank you so much!
